²⁵ I thanke God through Iesus Christ our Lord. Then I my selfe in my minde serue the Lawe of God, but in my flesh the lawe of sinne.

¹⁵ Let them therefore cofesse before the Lord his louing kindnesse, and his wonderfull woorkes before the sonnes of men. ¹⁶ For hee hath broken the gates of brasse, and brast the barres of yron asunder.

¹⁶ Beholde, Lord: for I am thy seruant, I am thy seruant, and the sonne of thine handmaide: thou hast broken my bondes. ¹⁷ I will offer to thee a sacrifice of prayse, and will call vpon the Name of the Lord.

¹ And thou shalt say in that day, O Lord, I will prayse thee: though thou wast angrie with me, thy wrath is turned away, and thou comfortest me.

⁹ That thou maiest say to the prisoners, Goe foorth: and to them that are in darkenesse, Shewe your selues: they shall feede in the waies, and their pastures shall bee in all the toppes of the hilles.

¹³ Reioyce, O heauens: and bee ioyfull, O earth: brast foorth into praise, O mountaines: for God hath comforted his people, and will haue mercie vpon his afflicted.

²¹ And she shall bring foorth a sonne, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for hee shall saue his people from their sinnes.

¹⁴ For sinne shall not haue dominion ouer you: for ye are not vnder ye Lawe, but vnder grace.

¹⁷ But God be thanked, that ye haue beene the seruants of sinne, but yee haue obeyed from the heart vnto the forme of the doctrine, wherunto ye were deliuered.

¹⁵ For I alow not that which I do: for what I would, that do I not: but what I hate, that do I. ¹⁶ If I doe then that which I woulde not, I consent to the Lawe, that it is good. ¹⁷ Nowe then, it is no more I, that doe it, but sinne that dwelleth in me. ¹⁸ For I know, that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwelleth no good thing: for to wil is preset with me: but I find no meanes to perform that which is good. ¹⁹ For I doe not the good thing, which I would, but the euil, which I would not, that do I. ²⁰ Nowe if I do that I would not, it is no more I that doe it, but the sinne that dwelleth in me. ²¹ I finde then that when I would doe good, I am thus yoked, that euill is present with me. ²² For I delite in the Law of God, concerning the inner man: ²³ But I see another Law in my members, rebelling against the Lawe of my minde, and leading me captiue vnto the lawe of sinne, which is in my members. ²⁴ O wretched man that I am, who shall deliuer me from the body of this death!

⁵⁷ But thankes be vnto God, which hath giuen vs victorie through our Lord Iesus Christ.

¹⁵ Thankes therefore bee vnto God for his vnspeakeable gift.

⁹ And he said vnto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my power is made perfect through weakenesse. Very gladly therefore will I reioyce rather in mine infirmities, that the power of Christ may dwell in me. ¹⁰ Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproches, in necessities, in persecutions, in anguish for Christes sake: for when I am weake, then am I strong.

¹⁷ For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary one to another, so that ye can not doe the same things that ye would. ¹⁸ And if ye be led by the Spirit, ye are not vnder the Lawe. ¹⁹ Moreouer the workes of the flesh are manifest, which are adulterie, fornication, vncleannes, wantonnes, ²⁰ Idolatrie, witchcraft, hatred, debate, emulations, wrath, contentions, seditions, heresies, ²¹ Enuie, murthers, drunkennesse, gluttonie, and such like, whereof I tell you before, as I also haue tolde you before, that they which doe such things, shall not inherite the kingdome of God. ²² But the fruite of the Spirit is loue, ioye, peace, long suffering, gentlenes, goodnes, fayth, ²³ Meekenesse, temperancie: against such there is no lawe. ²⁴ For they that are Christes, haue crucified the flesh with the affections and the lustes.

²⁰ Giuing thankes alwaies for all thinges vnto God euen the Father, in the Name of our Lord Iesus Christ,

³ For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirite, and reioyce in Christ Iesus, and haue no confidence in the flesh:

⁶ Be nothing carefull, but in all thinges let your requestes be shewed vnto God in praier, and supplication with giuing of thankes.

¹⁷ And whatsoeuer ye shall doe, in worde or deede, doe all in the Name of the Lord Iesus, giuing thankes to God euen the Father by him.

⁵ Yee also as liuely stones, bee made a spirituall house, an holy Priesthoode to offer vp spirituall sacrifices acceptable to God by Iesus Christ.

⁹ But yee are a chosen generation, a royall Priesthoode, an holy nation, a people set at libertie, that yee shoulde shewe foorth the vertues of him that hath called you out of darkenesse into his marueilous light,
