¹² For as many as haue sinned without the Lawe, shall perish also without the Lawe: and as many as haue sinned in the Lawe, shall be iudged by the Lawe,

²⁶ Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the wordes of this Law, to do them: And all the people shall say: So be it.

⁴⁹ Beholde, this was the iniquitie of thy sister Sodom, Pride, fulnesse of bread, and aboundance of idlenesse was in her, and in her daughters: neither did shee strengthen the hande of the poore and needie. ⁵⁰ But they were hautie, and committed abomination before mee: therefore I tooke them away, as pleased me.

²² But I say to you, It shalbe easier for Tyrus and Sidon at the day of iudgement, then for you.

²⁴ But I say vnto you, that it shall be easier for them of the land of Sodom in the day of iudgement, then for thee.

¹² For I say to you, that it shall be easier in that day for them of Sodom, then for that citie. ¹³ Woe be to thee, Chorazin: woe be to thee, Beth-saida: for if the miracles had bene done in Tyrus and Sidon, which haue bene done in you, they had a great while agone repented, sitting in sackecloth and ashes. ¹⁴ Therefore it shall be easier for Tyrus, and Sidon, at the iudgement, then for you. ¹⁵ And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heauen, shalt be thrust downe to hell.

⁴⁷ And that seruant that knewe his masters will, and prepared not himselfe, neither did according to his will, shalbe beaten with many stripes. ⁴⁸ But he that knewe it not, and yet did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with fewe stripes: for vnto whomsoeuer much is giuen, of him shalbe much required, and to whom men much commit, the more of him will they aske.

¹¹ Iesus answered, Thou couldest haue no power at all against me, except it were giuen thee from aboue: therefore he that deliuered me vnto thee, hath the greater sinne.

³⁰ And the time of this ignorance God regarded not: but nowe hee admonisheth all men euery where to repent, ³¹ Because hee hath appoynted a day in the which he wil iudge the world in righteousnes, by that man whome hee hath appoynted, whereof he hath giuen an assurance to all men, in that hee hath raised him from the dead.

¹⁸ For the wrath of God is reueiled from heauen against all vngodlinesse, and vnrighteousnesse of men, which withhold the trueth in vnrighteousnesse. ¹⁹ Forasmuch as that, which may be knowe of God, is manifest in them: for God hath shewed it vnto them. ²⁰ For the inuisible things of him, that is, his eternal power and Godhead, are seene by ye creation of the worlde, being considered in his workes, to the intent that they should be without excuse: ²¹ Because that when they knewe God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankefull, but became vaine in their thoughtes, and their foolish heart was full of darkenesse.

¹⁴ For when the Gentiles which haue not the Lawe, doe by nature, the things conteined in the Lawe, they hauing not the Lawe, are a Lawe vnto themselues, ¹⁵ Which shew the effect of the Lawe written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witnes, and their thoughts accusing one another, or excusing,) ¹⁶ At the day when God shall iudge the secretes of men by Iesus Christ, according to my Gospel.

¹⁹ Now we know that whatsoeuer ye Lawe saieth, it saieth it to them which are vnder ye Law, that euery mouth may bee stopped, and all the world be subiect to the iudgement of God. ²⁰ Therefore by the woorkes of the Lawe shall no flesh be iustified in his sight: for by the Lawe commeth the knowledge of sinne.

¹⁵ For the Lawe causeth wrath: for where no Lawe is, there is no transgression.

⁷ What shall we say then? Is the Lawe sinne? God forbid. Nay, I knewe not sinne, but by the Lawe: for I had not knowen lust, except the Lawe had sayd, Thou shalt not lust. ⁸ But sinne tooke an occasion by ye commandement, and wrought in me all maner of concupiscence: for without the Lawe sinne is dead. ⁹ For I once was aliue, without the Law: but when the commandement came, sinne reuiued, ¹⁰ But I died: and the same commandement which was ordeined vnto life, was found to be vnto me vnto death. ¹¹ For sinne tooke occasion by the commandement, and deceiued me, and thereby slewe me.

³ For (that that was impossible to ye Lawe, in as much as it was weake, because of ye flesh) God sending his owne Sonne, in ye similitude of sinful flesh, and for sinne, condened sinne in the flesh,

²¹ To them that are without Lawe, as though I were without Lawe, (when I am not without Lawe as pertaining to God, but am in the Lawe through Christ) that I may winne them that are without Lawe:

⁷ If then the ministration of death written with letters and ingrauen in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel coulde not beholde the face of Moses, for the glorie of his countenance (which glorie is done away.) ⁸ Howe shall not the ministration of the Spirite be more glorious? ⁹ For if the ministerie of condemnation was glorious, much more doeth the ministration of righteousnesse exceede in glorie.

¹⁶ Knowe that a man is not iustified by the works of the Law, but by ye faith of Iesus Christ, euen we, I say, haue beleeued in Iesus Christ, that we might be iustified by the faith of Christ, and not by the workes of the Lawe, because that by the workes of the Lawe, no flesh shalbe iustified. ¹⁷ If then while we seeke to be made righteous by Christ, we our selues are found sinners, is Christ therefore the minister of sinne? God forbid. ¹⁸ For if I build againe the things that I haue destroyed, I make my selfe a trespasser. ¹⁹ For I through the Lawe am dead to the Lawe, that I might liue vnto God.

¹⁰ For as many as are of the workes of the Lawe, are vnder the curse: for it is written, Cursed is euery man that continueth not in all things, which are written in the booke of the Law, to doe them.

²² But the Scripture hath concluded all vnder sinne, that the promise by the faith of Iesus Christ should be giuen to them that beleeue.

¹⁰ For whosoeuer shall keepe the whole Lawe, and yet faileth in one poynt, hee is guiltie of all.

¹² And I saw the dead, both great and small stand before God: and the bookes were opened, and another booke was opened, which is the booke of life, and the dead were iudged of those thinges, which were written in the bookes, according to their woorkes. ¹³ And the sea gaue vp her dead, which were in her, and death and hell deliuered vp the dead, which were in them: and they were iudged euery man according to their woorkes. ¹⁴ And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire: this is the second death. ¹⁵ And whosoeuer was not found written in the booke of life, was cast into the lake of fire.
