¹⁵ Reioyce with them that reioyce, and weepe with them that weepe.

⁴ And when I heard these wordes, I sate downe and wept, and mourned certeine dayes, and I fasted and prayed before the God of heauen,

¹¹ Nowe when Iobs three friends heard of all this euill that was come vpon him, they came euery one from his owne place, to wit, Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite: for they were agreed together to come to lament with him, and to comfort him.

²⁵ Did not I weepe with him that was in trouble? was not my soule in heauinesse for the poore?

¹³ Yet I, when they were sicke, I was clothed with a sacke: I humbled my soule with fasting: and my praier was turned vpon my bosome. ¹⁴ I behaued my selfe as to my friend, or as to my brother: I humbled my selfe, mourning as one that bewaileth his mother.

¹⁰ Reioyce ye with Ierusalem, and be gladde with her, all ye that loue her: reioyce for ioy with her, all ye that mourne for her, ¹¹ That ye may sucke and be satisfied with the brestes of her consolation: that ye may milke out and be delited with ye brightnes of her glorie. ¹² For thus saith the Lord, Beholde, I will extend peace ouer her like a flood, and the glorie of the Gentiles like a flowing streame: then shall ye sucke, ye shall be borne vpon her sides, and be ioyfull vpon her knees. ¹³ As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you, and ye shall be comforted in Ierusalem. ¹⁴ And when ye see this, your hearts shall reioyce, and your bones shall flourish like an herbe: and the hand of the Lord shall be knowen among his seruants, and his indignation against his enemies.

¹ Oh, that mine head were full of water and mine eyes a fountaine of teares, that I might weepe day and night for the slayne of the daughter of my people.

⁵⁸ And her neighbours, and cousins heard tell howe the Lord had shewed his great mercie vpon her, and they reioyced with her.

⁵ And when he hath found it, he laieth it on his shoulders with ioye. ⁶ And when he commeth home, he calleth together his friendes and neighbours, saying vnto them, Reioyce with mee: for I haue founde my sheepe which was lost. ⁷ I say vnto you, that likewise ioy shall be in heauen for one sinner that conuerteth, more then for ninetie and nine iust men, which neede none amendment of life. ⁸ Either what woman hauing ten groates, if she lose one groate, doth not light a candle, and sweepe the house, and seeke diligently till shee finde it? ⁹ And when shee hath found it, shee calleth her friendes, and neighbours, saying, Reioyce with me: for I haue found the groate which I had lost. ¹⁰ Likewise I say vnto you, there is ioy in the presence of the Angels of God, for one sinner that conuerteth.

¹⁹ And many of ye Iewes were come to Martha and Marie to comfort them for their brother.

³³ When Iesus therefore saw her weepe, and the Iewes also weepe which came with her, hee groned in the spirit, and was troubled in himselfe, ³⁴ And saide, Where haue ye layde him? They said vnto him, Lord, come and see. ³⁵ And Iesus wept. ³⁶ Then saide the Iewes, Beholde, how he loued him.

²³ Who when he was come and had seene the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted all, that with purpose of heart they would continue in the Lord.

²⁶ Therefore if one member suffer, all suffer with it: if one member be had in honour, all the members reioyce with it.

³ And I wrote this same thing vnto you, lest when I came, I should take heauines of them, of whom I ought to reioyce: this confidence haue I in you all, that my ioye is the ioye of you all.

²⁹ Who is weake, and I am not weake? who is offended, and I burne not?

¹⁷ Yea, and though I bee offered vp vpon the sacrifice, and seruice of your faith, I am glad, and reioyce with you all. ¹⁸ For the same cause also be ye glad, and reioyce with me.

²⁶ For he longed after all you, and was full of heauinesse, because yee had heard that hee had beene sicke.

²⁸ I sent him therefore the more diligently, that when yee shoulde see him againe, yee might reioyce, and I might be the lesse sorowfull.

³ Remember them that are in bondes, as though ye were bounde with them: and them that are in affliction, as if ye were also afflicted in the body.
