⁷ That they might set their hope on God, and not forget the workes of God but keepe his commandements:

²⁴ Therefore shall ye obserue this thing as an ordinance both for thee and thy sonnes for euer. ²⁵ And when ye shall come into the land, which the Lord will giue you as hee hath promised, then ye shall keepe this seruice. ²⁶ And when your children aske you, What seruice is this ye keepe? ²⁷ Then ye shall saye, It is the sacrifice of the Lordes Passeouer, which passed ouer the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and preserued our houses. Then the people bowed them selues, and worshipped.

⁹ But take heede to thy selfe, and keepe thy soule diligently, that thou forget not the thinges which thine eyes haue seene, and that they depart not out of thine heart, all the dayes of thy life: but teach them thy sonnes, and thy sonnes sonnes:

²⁹ Oh that there were such an heart in them to feare me, and to keepe all my commandements alway: that it might go well with them, and with their children for euer.

¹² Beware least thou forget the Lord, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

¹⁸ Thou shalt not feare them, but remember what the Lord thy God did vnto Pharaoh, and vnto all Egypt: ¹⁹ The great tentations which thine eyes sawe, and the signes and wonders, and the mighty hand and stretched out arme, whereby the Lord thy God brought thee out: so shall the Lord thy God do vnto all ye people, whose face thou fearest.

² And thou shalt remember all ye way which the Lord thy God led thee this fourtie yeere in the wildernesse, for to humble thee and to proue thee, to knowe what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keepe his commandements or no.

¹¹ Beware that thou forget not the Lord thy God, not keeping his commandements, and his lawes, and his ordinances, which I commaund thee this day:

²⁷ The Iewes also ordeined, and promised for them and for their seede, and for all that ioyned vnto them, that they would not faile to obserue those two dayes euery yeere, according to their writing, and according to their season, ²⁸ And that these dayes shoulde be remembred, and kept throughout euery generation and euery familie, and euery prouince, and euery citie: euen these daies of Purim should not faile among the Iewes, and the memoriall of them should not perish from their seede.

⁴ Blessed is the man that maketh the Lord his trust, and regardeth not the proude, nor such as turne aside to lyes.

⁵ Yet my soule keepe thou silence vnto God: for mine hope is in him.

¹⁰ And I sayde, This is my death: yet I remembred the yeeres of the right hand of the most High. ¹¹ I remembred the workes of the Lord: certainely I remembred thy wonders of olde. ¹² I did also meditate all thy woorkes, and did deuise of thine actes, saying,

¹⁴ Because he hath loued me, therefore will I deliuer him: I will exalt him because hee hath knowen my Name.

² My soule, prayse thou the Lord, and forget not all his benefites.

⁵ Remember his marueilous woorkes, that he hath done, his wonders and the iudgements of his mouth,

⁶ My soule waiteth on the Lord more then the morning watch watcheth for the morning. ⁷ Let Israel waite on the Lord: for with the Lord is mercie, and with him is great redemption.

⁵ Blessed is he, that hath the God of Iaakob for his helpe, whose hope is in the Lord his God.

⁷ Blessed be the man, that trusteth in ye Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. ⁸ For he shall be as a tree that is planted by the water, which spreadeth out her rootes by the riuer, and shall not feele when the heate commeth, but her leafe shall be greene, and shall not care for the yeere of drought, neyther shall cease from yeelding fruit.

²¹ He that hath my commandements, and keepeth them, is he that loueth me: and he that loueth me, shall be loued of my Father: and I will loue him, and wil shewe mine owne selfe to him. ²² Iudas sayd vnto him (not Iscariot) Lord, what is the cause that thou wilt shewe thy selfe vnto vs, and not vnto the world? ²³ Iesus answered, and sayd vnto him, If any man loue me, he will keepe my worde, and my Father will loue him, and we wil come vnto him, and wil dwell with him. ²⁴ He that loueth me not, keepeth not my wordes, and the worde which ye heare, is not mine, but the Fathers which sent me.

²⁴ And when hee had giuen thankes, hee brake it, and sayde, Take, eate: this is my body, which is broken for you: this doe ye in remembrance of me.

²¹ Which by his meanes doe beleeue in God that raised him from the dead, and gaue him glorie, that your faith and hope might bee in God,

²² And whatsoeuer we aske we receiue of him, because we keepe his commandements, and do those things which are pleasing in his sight. ²³ This is then his commandement, That we beleeue in the Name of his Sonne Iesus Christ, and loue one another as hee gaue commandement. ²⁴ For hee that keepeth his commandements, dwelleth in him, and he in him: and hereby we knowe that hee abideth in vs, euen by that Spirit which he hath giuen vs.

³ For this is the loue of God, that we keepe his commandements: and his commandements are not burdenous.
