⁵² But hee made his people to goe out like sheepe, and led them in the wildernes like a flocke.

¹² And leddest them in the day with a pillar of a cloude, and in the night with a pillar of fire to giue them light in the way that they went.

²⁰ Thou diddest leade thy people like sheepe by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

⁷ For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheepe of his hande: to day, if ye will heare his voyce,

³ Knowe ye that euen the Lord is God: hee hath made vs, and not we our selues: we are his people, and the sheepe of his pasture.

³⁷ He brought them forth also with siluer and golde, and there was none feeble among their tribes.

¹¹ He shall feede his flocke like a shepheard: he shall gather the lambes with his arme, and cary them in his bosome, and shall guide them with young.

¹¹ Then he remembred the olde time of Moses and his people, saying, Where is hee that brought them vp out of the Sea with the shepheard of his sheepe? where is he that put his holy Spirit within him? ¹² He led them by the right hand of Moses with his owne glorious arme, deuiding the water before them, to make himselfe an euerlasting Name. ¹³ Hee led them through the deepe, as an horse in the wildernesse, that they should not stumble, ¹⁴ As the beast goeth downe into the valley, the Spirite of the Lord gaue them rest: so diddest thou leade thy people, to make thy selfe a glorious Name.

² Therefore thus saith the Lord God of Israel vnto the pastors that feede my people, Yee haue scattered my flock and thrust them out, and haue not visited them: beholde, I will visite you for the wickednesse of your works, saith the Lord. ³ And I will gather the remnant of my sheepe out of all countreyes, whither I had driuen them, and will bring them againe to their foldes, and they shall growe and encrease. ⁴ And I will set vp shepheardes ouer them, which shall feede them: and they shall dread no more nor be afraide, neither shall any of them be lacking, saith the Lord.

¹¹ For thus sayeth the Lord God, Beholde, I will search my sheepe, and seeke them out. ¹² As a shepherd searcheth out his flocke, when he hath bene among his sheepe that are scattered, so wil I seeke out my sheepe and wil deliuer them out of all places, where they haue beene scattered in the cloudie and darke day, ¹³ And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countreis, and will bring them to their owne lande, and feede them vpon the mountaines of Israel, by the riuers, and in all the inhabited places of the countrey. ¹⁴ I will feede them in a good pasture, and vpon the hie mountaines of Israel shall their folde be: there shall they lie in a good folde and in fat pasture shall they feede vpon the mountaines of Israel. ¹⁵ I will feede my sheepe, and bring them to their rest, sayth the Lord God. ¹⁶ I will seeke that which was lost, and bring againe that which was driue away, and will binde vp that which was broken, and will strengthen the weake but I wil destroy the fat and the strong, and I will feede them with iudgement. ¹⁷ Also you my sheepe, Thus saieth the Lord God, behold, I iudge betweene sheepe, and sheepe, betweene the rammes and the goates. ¹⁸ Seemeth it a small thing vnto you to haue eaten vp the good pasture, but yee must treade downe with your feete the residue of your pasture? and to haue drunke of the deepe waters, but yee must trouble the residue with your feete? ¹⁹ And my sheepe eate that which yee haue troden with your feete, and drinke that which ye haue troubled with your feete. ²⁰ Therefore thus sayth the Lord God vnto them, behold, I, euen I wil iudge betweene the fat sheepe and the leane sheepe. ²¹ Because ye haue thrust with side and with shoulder, and pusht al the weake with your hornes, till ye haue scattered them abroade, ²² Therefore wil I helpe my sheepe, and they shall no more be spoyled, and I wil iudge betweene sheepe and sheepe. ²³ And I wil set vp a shepherd ouer them, and he shall feede them, euen my seruant Dauid, he shall feede them, and he shalbe their shepherd. ²⁴ And I the Lord will be their God, and my seruant Dauid shalbe the prince amog them. I the Lord haue spoken it. ²⁵ And I will make with them a couenant of peace, and will cause the euil beastes to cease out of the land: and they shall dwel safely in the wildernesse, and sleepe in the woods. ²⁶ And I wil set them, as a blessing, euen roud about my mountaine: and I will cause rayne to come downe in due season, and there shalbe raine of blessing. ²⁷ And the tree of the fielde shall yeeld her fruite, and the earth shall giue her fruite, and they shalbe safe in their land, and shall know that I am the Lord, when I haue broken the cordes of their yoke, and deliuered them out of the hands of those that serued themselues of them. ²⁸ And they shall no more be spoyled of the heathen, neither shall the beastes of the land deuoure them, but they shall dwell safely and none shall make them afrayd. ²⁹ And I will rayse vp for them a plant of renoume, and they shalbe no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither beare the reproche of the heathen any more. ³⁰ Thus shall they vnderstande, that I the Lord their God am with them, and that they, euen the house of Israel, are my people, sayth the Lord God. ³¹ And yee my sheepe, the sheepe of my pasture are men, and I am your God, saith the Lord God.

⁴ What man of you hauing an hundreth sheepe, if hee lose one of them, doeth not leaue ninetie and nine in the wildernesse, and goe after that which is lost, vntill he finde it? ⁵ And when he hath found it, he laieth it on his shoulders with ioye. ⁶ And when he commeth home, he calleth together his friendes and neighbours, saying vnto them, Reioyce with mee: for I haue founde my sheepe which was lost.

¹¹ I am that good shepheard: that good shepheard giueth his life for his sheepe. ¹² But an hireling, and hee which is not the shepheard, neither the sheepe are his owne, seeth the wolfe comming, and hee leaueth the sheepe, and fleeth, and the wolfe catcheth them, and scattreth the sheepe. ¹³ So the hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheepe. ¹⁴ I am that good shepheard, and knowe mine, and am knowen of mine. ¹⁵ As the Father knoweth me, so know I the Father: and I lay downe my life for my sheepe. ¹⁶ Other sheepe I haue also, which are not of this folde: them also must I bring, and they shall heare my voyce: and there shalbe one sheepefolde, and one shepheard. ¹⁷ Therefore doeth my Father loue me, because I lay downe my life, that I might take it againe. ¹⁸ No man taketh it from me, but I lay it downe of my selfe: I haue power to lay it downe, and haue power to take it againe: this commandement haue I receiued of my Father. ¹⁹ Then there was a dissension againe among the Iewes for these sayings, ²⁰ And many of them sayd, He hath a deuill, and is mad: why heare ye him? ²¹ Other sayd, These are not the wordes of him that hath a deuill: can the deuill open the eyes of the blinde? ²² And it was at Hierusalem the feast of the Dedication, and it was winter. ²³ And Iesus walked in the Temple, in Salomons porche. ²⁴ Then came the Iewes round about him, and sayd vnto him, Howe long doest thou make vs dout? If thou be that Christ, tell vs plainely. ²⁵ Iesus answered them, I tolde you, and ye beleeue not: the workes that I doe in my Fathers Name, they beare witnes of me. ²⁶ But ye beleeue not: for ye are not of my sheepe, as I sayd vnto you. ²⁷ My sheepe heare my voyce, and I knowe them, and they follow me, ²⁸ And I giue vnto them eternall life, and they shall neuer perish, neither shall any plucke them out of mine hand. ²⁹ My Father which gaue them me, is greater then all, and none is able to take them out of my Fathers hand. ³⁰ I and my Father are one. ³¹ Then ye Iewes againe tooke vp stones, to stone him. ³² Iesus answered them, Many good workes haue I shewed you from my Father: for which of these workes doe ye stone me? ³³ The Iewes answered him, saying, For the good worke we stone thee not, but for blasphemie, and that thou being a man, makest thy selfe God. ³⁴ Iesus answered them, Is it not written in your Lawe, I sayd, Ye are gods? ³⁵ If hee called them gods, vnto whome the worde of God was giuen, and the Scripture cannot be broken, ³⁶ Say ye of him, whome the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the worlde, Thou blasphemest, because I said, I am the Sonne of God? ³⁷ If I doe not the workes of my Father, beleeue me not. ³⁸ But if I doe, then though ye beleeue not mee, yet beleeue the workes, that ye may knowe and beleeue, that the Father is in me, and I in him. ³⁹ Againe they went about to take him: but he escaped out of their handes, ⁴⁰ And went againe beyonde Iordan, into the place where Iohn first baptized, and there abode. ⁴¹ And many resorted vnto him, and saide, Iohn did no miracle: but all thinges that Iohn spake of this man, were true. ⁴² And many beleeued in him there.
