⁴ They that hate mee without a cause, are moe then the heares of mine heade: they that would destroy mee, and are mine enemies falsly, are mightie, so that I restored that which I tooke not.

³ O Lord my God, if I haue done this thing, if there be any wickednes in mine handes, ⁴ If I haue rewarded euill vnto him that had peace with mee, (yea I haue deliuered him that vexed me without cause) ⁵ Then let the enemie persecute my soule and take it: yea, let him treade my life downe vpon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah.

¹¹ Cruell witnesses did rise vp: they asked of me things that I knewe not. ¹² They rewarded me euill for good, to haue spoyled my soule.

¹⁹ Let not them that are mine enemies, vniustly reioyce ouer mee, neyther let them winke with the eye, that hate mee without a cause.

¹⁹ Then mine enemies are aliue and are mightie, and they that hate me wrongfully are many. ²⁰ They also, that rewarde euill for good, are mine aduersaries, because I follow goodnesse.

¹² For innumerable troubles haue compassed mee: my sinnes haue taken such holde vpon me, that I am not able to looke vp: yea, they are moe in nomber then the heares of mine head: therefore mine heart hath failed me.

³ For loe, they haue layd waite for my soule: the mightie men are gathered against me, not for mine offence, nor for my sinne, O Lord.

³ They compassed me about also with words of hatred, and fought against me without a cause. ⁴ For my friendship they were mine aduersaries, but I gaue my selfe to praier. ⁵ And they haue rewarded me euil for good, and hatred for my friendship.

⁴ Surely hee hath borne our infirmities, and caried our sorowes: yet wee did iudge him, as plagued, and smitten of God, and humbled. ⁵ But hee was wounded for our transgressions, hee was broken for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was vpon him, and with his stripes we are healed. ⁶ All we like sheepe haue gone astraye: wee haue turned euery one to his owne way, and the Lord hath layed vpon him the iniquitie of vs all. ⁷ Hee was oppressed and he was afflicted, yet did he not open his mouth: hee is brought as a sheepe to the slaughter, and as a sheepe before her shearer is dumme, so he openeth not his mouth.

²⁵ But it is that the worde might be fulfilled, that is written in their Lawe, They hated me without a cause.

²¹ For he hath made him to be sinne for vs, which knewe no sinne, that we should be made the righteousnesse of God in him.

²² Who did no sinne, neither was there guile found in his mouth.

²⁴ Who his owne selfe bare our sinnes in his body on the tree, that we being dead to sinne, should liue in righteousnesse: by whose stripes ye were healed.

¹⁸ For Christ also hath once suffered for sinnes, the iust for the vniust, that he might bring vs to God, and was put to death concerning the flesh, but was quickened by the spirit.
