² Thus I beholde thee as in the Sanctuarie, when I beholde thy power and thy glorie.

¹⁸ Againe he sayde, I beseech thee, shewe me thy glory. ¹⁹ And he answered, I wil make all my good go before thee, and I wil proclaime the Name of the Lord before thee: for I will shewe mercy to whom I will shewe mercy, and will haue compassion on whom I will haue compassion.

²¹ And she named the childe Ichabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel, because the Arke of God was taken, and because of her father in lawe and her husband. ²² She sayde againe, The glory is departed from Israel: for the Arke of God is taken.

¹¹ Seeke the Lord and his strength: seeke his face continually.

⁴ One thing haue I desired of the Lord, that I will require, euen that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the dayes of my life, to beholde the beautie of the Lord, and to visite his Temple.

²⁴ They haue seene, O God, thy goings, the goings of my God, and my King, which art in the Sanctuarie.

¹⁷ Vntill I went into the Sanctuarie of God: then vnderstoode I their ende. ¹⁸ Surely thou hast set them in slipperie places, and castest them downe into desolation.

¹³ Thy way, O God, is in the Sanctuarie: who is so great a God as our God! ¹⁴ Thou art ye God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy power among the people.

⁶¹ And deliuered his power into captiuitie, and his beautie into the enemies hand.

² My soule longeth, yea, and fainteth for the courtes of the Lord: for mine heart and my flesh reioyce in the liuing God. ³ Yea, the sparrowe hath found her an house, and the swallow a nest for her, where she may lay her yong: euen by thine altars, O Lord of hostes, my King and my God. ⁴ Blessed are they that dwell in thine house: they will euer praise thee. Selah. ⁵ Blessed is the man, whose strength is in thee, and in whose heart are thy wayes. ⁶ They going through the vale of Baca, make welles therein: the raine also couereth the pooles. ⁷ They goe from strength to strength, till euery one appeare before God in Zion. ⁸ O Lord God of hostes, heare my prayer: hearken, O God of Iaakob. Selah. ⁹ Beholde, O God, our shielde, and looke vpon the face of thine Anointed. ¹⁰ For a day in thy courtes is better then a thousand other where: I had rather be a doore keeper in the House of my God, then to dwell in the Tabernacles of wickednesse. ¹¹ For the Lord God is the sunne and shielde vnto vs: the Lord will giue grace and glory, and no good thing will he withhold from them that walke vprightly.

⁶ Strength and glory are before him: power and beautie are in his Sanctuarie.

⁴ Seeke the Lord and his strength: seeke his face continually.

² Lift vp your hands to the Sanctuarie, and praise the Lord.

¹¹ They shewe the glory of thy kingdome, and speake of thy power,

¹³ The glory of Lebanon shall come vnto thee, the firre tree, the elme and the boxe tree together, to beautifie the place of my Sanctuarie: for I will glorifie the place of my feete.

⁴ In whom the God of this world hath blinded the mindes, that is, of the infidels, that the light of the glorious Gospell of Christ, which is the image of God, should not shine vnto them. ⁵ For we preach not our selues, but Christ Iesus the Lord, and our selues your seruaunts for Iesus sake. ⁶ For God that commanded the light to shine out of darknesse, is he which hath shined in our hearts, to giue the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Iesus Christ.
