⁵ Wherefore should I feare in the euil dayes, when iniquitie shall compasse me about, as at mine heeles?

¹⁷ Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder by the path, byting the horse heeles, so that his rider shall fall backward.

²⁰ Nowe therefore let not my blood fall to the earth before the face of the Lord: for the King of Israel is come out to seeke a flea, as one would hunt a partridge in the mountaines.

¹⁶ For dogges haue compassed me, and the assemblie of the wicked haue inclosed me: they perced mine hands and my feete.

⁴ Yea, though I should walke through the valley of the shadowe of death, I will feare no euill: for thou art with me: thy rod and thy staffe, they comfort me.

¹ A Psalme of David. The Lord is my light and my saluation, whom shall I feare? the Lord is the strength of my life, of whome shall I be afraide? ² When the wicked, euen mine enemies and my foes came vpon mee to eate vp my flesh; they stumbled and fell.

⁴ For mine iniquities are gone ouer mine head, and as a weightie burden they are too heauie for me.

¹ To him that excelleth upon Alamoth a song committed to the sonnes of Korah. God is our hope and strength, and helpe in troubles, ready to be found. ² Therefore will not we feare, though the earth be moued, and though the mountaines fall into the middes of the sea.

⁶ They gather together, and keepe them selues close: they marke my steps, because they waite for my soule. ⁷ They thinke they shall escape by iniquitie: O God, cast these people downe in thine anger.

²² His owne iniquities shall take the wicked himselfe, and he shall be holden with the cordes of his owne sinne.

¹⁰ If thou bee faint in the day of aduersitie, thy strength is small.

¹⁰ Feare thou not, for I am with thee: be not afraide, for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee, and helpe thee, and will susteine thee with the right hand of my iustice. ¹¹ Beholde, all they that prouoke thee, shalbe ashamed, and confounded: they shalbe as nothing, and they that striue with thee, shall perish.

² And they consider not in their hearts, that I remember all their wickednes: now their owne inuentions haue beset them about: they are in my sight.

¹³ Therefore the prudent shall keepe silence in that time, for it is an euill time.

²⁴ Saying, Feare not, Paul: for thou must be brought before Cesar: and lo, God hath giuen vnto thee freely all that sayle with thee.

³³ Who shall lay any thing to the charge of Gods chosen? it is God that iustifieth, ³⁴ Who shall condemne? it is Christ which is dead, yea, or rather, which is risen againe, who is also at the right hand of God, and maketh request also for vs.

¹⁶ Redeeming ye season: for ye daies are euill.

²⁸ And in nothing feare your aduersaries, which is to them a token of perdition, and to you of saluation, and that of God.
