²⁴ Wherefore hidest thou thy face? and forgettest our miserie and our affliction?

²³ Then in processe of time, the King of Egypt dyed, and the children of Israel sighed for the bondage and cryed: and their crie for the bondage came vp vnto God. ²⁴ Then God heard their mone, and God remembred his couenant with Abraham, Izhak, and Iaakob.

²⁰ And he said, I will hide my face from the: I will see what their ende shalbe: for they are a frowarde generation, children in who is no faith.

²⁴ Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and takest me for thine enemie?

¹ Why standest thou farre off, O Lord, and hidest thee in due time, euen in affliction?

¹¹ He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten, he hideth away his face, and will neuer see.

⁹ I wil say vnto God, which is my rocke, Why hast thou forgotten mee? why goe I mourning, when the enemie oppresseth me?

¹ Judge me, O God, and defend my cause against the vnmercifull people: deliuer mee from the deceitfull and wicked man. ² For thou art the God of my strength: why hast thou put me away? why goe I so mourning, when the enemie oppresseth me? ³ Sende thy light and thy trueth: let them leade mee: let them bring mee vnto thine holy Mountaine and to thy Tabernacles. ⁴ Then wil I go vnto the altar of God, euen vnto the God of my ioy and gladnes: and vpon the harpe wil I giue thanks vnto thee, O God, my God.

¹⁹ Giue not the soule of thy turtle doue vnto the beast, and forget not the Congregation of thy poore for euer.

²³ Forget not the voyce of thine enemies: for the tumult of them, that rise against thee, ascendeth continually.

²⁷ Why sayest thou, O Iaakob, and speakest O Israel, My way is hid from the Lord, and my iudgement is passed ouer of my God? ²⁸ Knowest thou not? or hast thou not heard, that the euerlasting God, the Lord hath created the endes of the earth? he neither fainteth, nor is wearie: there is no searching of his vnderstanding.

⁹ And when hee had opened the fifth seale, I sawe vnder the altar the soules of them, that were killed for the worde of God, and for the testimonie which they mainteined. ¹⁰ And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, Lord, which art holie and true! doest not thou iudge and auenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
