² I was dumme and spake nothing: I kept silece euen from good, and my sorow was more stirred.

¹⁹ Beholde, my belly is as the wine, which hath no vent, and like the new bottels that brast. ²⁰ Therefore will I speake, that I may take breath: I will open my lippes, and will answere.

¹³ But I as a deafe man heard not, and am as a dumme man, which openeth not his mouth. ¹⁴ Thus am I as a man, that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofes.

⁷ Hee was oppressed and he was afflicted, yet did he not open his mouth: hee is brought as a sheepe to the slaughter, and as a sheepe before her shearer is dumme, so he openeth not his mouth.

⁶ Giue ye not that which is holy, to dogges, neither cast ye your pearles before swine, lest they treade them vnder their feete, and turning againe, all to rent you.
