¹⁷ The sorowes of mine heart are enlarged: drawe me out of my troubles.

¹⁹ Great are the troubles of the righteous: but the Lord deliuereth him out of them all.

¹ A Psalme of Dauid for remembrance. O Lord, rebuke mee not in thine anger, neither chastise me in thy wrath. ² For thine arrowes haue light vpon me, and thine hand lyeth vpon me. ³ There is nothing sound in my flesh, because of thine anger: neither is there rest in my bones because of my sinne. ⁴ For mine iniquities are gone ouer mine head, and as a weightie burden they are too heauie for me. ⁵ My woundes are putrified, and corrupt because of my foolishnes. ⁶ I am bowed, and crooked very sore: I goe mourning all the day. ⁷ For my reines are full of burning, and there is nothing sound in my flesh. ⁸ I am weakened and sore broken: I roare for the very griefe of mine heart.

⁷ One deepe calleth another deepe by the noyse of thy water spoutes: all thy waues and thy floods are gone ouer me.

² In the day of my trouble I sought ye Lord: my sore ranne and ceased not in the night: my soule refused comfort. ³ I did thinke vpon God, and was troubled: I praied, and my spirit was full of anguish. Selah. ⁴ Thou keepest mine eyes waking: I was astonied and could not speake.

⁶ Then they cried vnto the Lord in their trouble, and he deliuered them from their distresse,

¹⁷ For the figtree shall not flourish, neither shall fruite be in the vines: the labour of the oliue shall faile, and the fieldes shall yeelde no meate: the sheepe shalbe cut off from the folde, and there shalbe no bullocke in the stalles. ¹⁸ But I will reioyce in the Lord: I will ioy in the God of my saluation. ¹⁹ The Lord God is my strength: hee will make my feete like hindes feete, and he will make me to walke vpon mine hie places. ¹¹ Vnto this houre we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and haue no certaine dwelling place, ¹² And labour, working with our owne handes: we are reuiled, and yet we blesse: we are persecuted, and suffer it. ¹³ We are euill spoken of, and we pray: we are made as the filth of the world, the offskowring of all things, vnto this time.

⁸ Wee are afflicted on euery side, yet are we not in distresse: we are in doubt, but yet wee despaire not. ⁹ We are persecuted, but not forsaken: cast downe, but we perish not.
