³ Who shall ascende into the mountaine of the Lord? and who shall stand in his holy place?

³ Then Moses sayde vnto Aaron, This is it that the Lord spake, saying, I will bee sanctified in the that come neere me, and before all the people I will be glorified: but Aaron held his peace.

¹² And one told King Dauid, saying, The Lord hath blessed the house of Obed-edom, and all that hee hath, because of the Arke of God: therefore Dauid went and brought the Arke of God from the house of Obed-edom, into the citie of Dauid with gladnesse. ¹³ And when they that bare the Arke of the Lord had gone sixe paces, he offred an oxe, and a fatte beast. ¹⁴ And Dauid danced before the Lord with al his might, and was girded with a linnen Ephod. ¹⁵ So Dauid and all the house of Israel, brought the Arke of the Lord with shouting, and sound of trumpet. ¹⁶ And as the Arke of the Lord came into the citie of Dauid, Michal Sauls daughter looked through a windowe, and sawe King Dauid leape, and dance before the Lord, and shee despised him in her heart. ¹⁷ And when they had brought in the Arke of the Lord, they set it in his place, in the mids of the tabernacle that Dauid had pitched for it: then Dauid offred burnt offrings, and peace offrings before the Lord.

¹ And Dauid made him houses in the citie of Dauid, and prepared a place for the Arke of God, and pitched for it a tent.

²⁵ So Dauid and the Elders of Israel and the captaines of thousandes went to bring vp the Arke of the couenant of the Lord from the house of Obed Edom with ioye. ²⁶ And because that God helped the Leuites that bare the Arke of the couenant of the Lord, they offered seuen bullockes and seuen rammes. ²⁷ And Dauid had on him a linen garment, as all the Leuites that bare the Arke, and the singers and Chenaniah that had the chiefe charge of the singers: and vpon Dauid was a linnen Ephod. ²⁸ Thus all Israel brought vp the Arke of the Lordes couenant with shouting and sounde of cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbales, making a sound with violes and with harpes.

⁶ Euen I haue set my King vpon Zion mine holy mountaine.

¹ A Psalme of Dauid. Lord, who shall dwell in thy Tabernacle? who shall rest in thine holy Mountaine?

⁴ Blessed is he, whom thou chusest and causest to come to thee: he shall dwell in thy courtes, and we shall be satisfied with the pleasures of thine House, euen of thine holy Temple.

¹⁵ The mountaine of God is like the mountaine of Bashan: it is an high Mountaine, as mount Bashan. ¹⁶ Why leape ye, ye high mountaines? as for this Mountaine, God deliteth to dwell in it: yea, the Lord will dwell in it for euer.

¹⁸ Thou art gone vp on high: thou hast led captiuitie captiue, and receiued giftes for men: yea, euen the rebellious hast thou led, that the Lord God might dwell there.

⁶⁸ But chose the tribe of Iudah, and mount Zion which he loued. ⁶⁹ And he built his Sanctuarie as an high palace, like the earth, which he stablished for euer.

¹³ For the Lord hath chosen Zion, and loued to dwell in it, saying, ¹⁴ This is my rest for euer: here will I dwell, for I haue a delite therein.

¹ Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord whom ye seeke, shall speedely come to his Temple: euen the messenger of the couenant whom ye desire: beholde, he shall come, sayth the Lord of hostes.

³⁶ Simon Peter said vnto him, Lord, whither goest thou? Iesus answered him, Whither I goe, thou canst not follow me nowe: but thou shalt follow me afterward.

¹⁷ Iesus saith vnto her, Touch me not: for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but goe to my brethren, and say vnto them, I ascend vnto my Father, and to your Father, and to my God, and your God.

⁸ Wherfore he saith, Whe he asceded vp on hie, he led captiuity captiue, and gaue gifts vnto men. ⁹ (Nowe, in that hee ascended, what is it but that he had also descended first into the lowest partes of the earth? ¹⁰ Hee that descended, is euen the same that ascended, farre aboue all heauens, that hee might fill all things)

²² But ye are come vnto the mount Sion, and to the citie of the liuing God, the celestiall Hierusalem, and to ye company of innumerable Angels, ²³ And to the assemblie and congregation of the first borne, which are written in heauen, and to God the iudge of all, and to the spirits of iust and perfite men, ²⁴ And to Iesus the Mediatour of the new Testament, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaketh better things then that of Abel.

²⁸ Wherefore seeing we receiue a kingdome, which cannot be shaken, let vs haue grace whereby we may so serue God, that we may please him with reuerence and feare.
