² Send thee helpe from the Sanctuarie, and strengthen thee out of Zion.

⁷ But Dauid tooke the fort of Zion: this is the citie of Dauid.

¹⁷ And when they had brought in the Arke of the Lord, they set it in his place, in the mids of the tabernacle that Dauid had pitched for it: then Dauid offred burnt offrings, and peace offrings before the Lord.

¹⁶ And he built twentie cubites in the sides of the house with boards of cedar, from the floore to the walles, and he prepared a place within it for the oracle, euen the most holy place.

⁴⁴ When thy people shall go out to battell against their enemie by the way that thou shalt sende them, and shall pray vnto the Lord towarde the way of the citie which thou hast chosen, and toward the house that I haue built for thy Name, ⁴⁵ Heare thou then in heauen their prayer and their supplication, and iudge their cause.

⁸ And they dwelt therein, and haue built thee a Sanctuarie therein for thy Name, saying, ⁹ If euill come vpon vs, as the sworde of iudgement, or pestilence, or famine, we will stande before this house and in thy presence (for thy name is in this house) and will crie vnto thee in our tribulation, and thou wilt heare and helpe.

⁴ I did call vnto the Lord with my voyce, and he heard me out of his holy mountaine. Selah.

¹⁷ Vntill I went into the Sanctuarie of God: then vnderstoode I their ende.

⁶ Cry out, and shoute, O inhabitant of Zion: for great is ye holy one of Israel in the middes of thee.

³² What shall then one answere the messengers of the Gentiles? That the Lord hath stablished Zion, and the poore of his people shall trust in it.

³⁴ By the same way that he came, he shall returne, and not come into this citie, saith the Lord. ³⁵ For I will defend this citie to saue it, for mine owne sake, and for my seruant Dauids sake.
