²⁵ With the godly thou wilt shewe thy selfe godly: with the vpright man thou wilt shew thy selfe vpright.

³² Then heare thou in heauen, and doe and iudge thy seruants, that thou condemne the wicked to bring his way vpon his head, and iustifie the righteous, to giue him according to his righteousnesse.

¹⁷ But refused to obey, and would not remember thy marueilous works that thou haddest done for them, but hardened their neckes, and had in their heads to returne to their bondage by their rebellion: but thou, O God of mercies, gratious and full of compassion, of long suffring and of great mercie, yet forsookest them not.

¹ To him that excelleth. A Psalme of Dauid. Blessed is he that iudgeth wisely of the poore: the Lord shall deliuer him in ye time of trouble. ² The Lord will keepe him, and preserue him aliue: he shalbe blessed vpon the earth, and thou wilt not deliuer him vnto the will of his enemies. ³ The Lord wil strengthen him vpon ye bed of sorow: thou hast turned al his bed in his sicknes. ⁴ Therefore I saide, Lord haue mercie vpon me: heale my soule, for I haue sinned against thee.

¹² And to thee, O Lord, mercie: for thou rewardest euery one according to his worke.

⁴ Vnto the righteous ariseth light in darkenes: he is merciful and full of copassion and righteous. ⁵ A good man is mercifull and lendeth, and will measure his affaires by iudgement. ⁶ Surely he shall neuer be moued: but the righteous shalbe had in euerlasting remembrance.

⁷ The way of the iust is righteousnesse: thou wilt make equall the righteous path of the iust.

¹ The righteous perisheth, and no man considereth it in heart: and mercifull men are taken away, and no man vnderstandeth that the righteous is taken away from the euill to come. ² Peace shall come: they shall rest in their beds, euery one that walketh before him.

⁷ Is it not to deale thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poore that wander, vnto thine house? when thou seest the naked, that thou couer him, and hide not thy selfe from thine owne flesh? ⁸ Then shall thy light breake foorth as the morning, and thine health shall grow speedily: thy righteousnes shall goe before thee, and the glorie of the Lord shall embrace thee.

²⁵ Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equall: heare now, O house of Israel. Is not my way equall? or are not your wayes vnequall? ²⁶ For when a righteous man turneth away from his righteousnes, and committeth iniquitie, he shall euen die for the same, he shall euen die for his iniquitie, that he hath done. ²⁷ Againe when the wicked turneth away from his wickednes that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawfull and right, he shall saue his soule aliue. ²⁸ Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that hee hath committed, he shall surely liue and shall not die. ²⁹ Yet saith ye house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equall. O house of Israel, are not my wayes equall? or are not your wayes vnequall? ³⁰ Therefore I will iudge you, O house of Israel, euery one according to his wayes, sayth the Lord God: returne therefore and cause others to turne away from all your transgressions: so iniquitie shall not be your destruction.

⁷ Blessed are the mercifull: for they shall obteine mercie.

³³ Oughtest not thou also to haue had pitie on thy fellowe seruant, euen as I had pitie on thee? ³⁴ So his Lord was wroth, and deliuered him to the tormentours, till he should pay all that was due to him. ³⁵ So likewise shall mine heauenly Father doe vnto you, except ye forgiue from your hearts, eche one to his brother their trespasses.

³⁵ Wherefore loue ye your enemies, and doe good, and lend, looking for nothing againe, and your rewarde shalbe great, and ye shalbe the children of the most High: for he is kinde vnto the vnkinde, and to the euill. ³⁶ Be ye therefore mercifull, as your Father also is mercifull. ³⁷ Iudge not, and ye shall not be iudged: condemne not, and ye shall not bee condemned: forgiue, and ye shalbe forgiuen. ³⁸ Giue, and it shalbe giuen vnto you: a good measure, pressed downe, shaken together and running ouer shall men giue into your bosome: for with what measure ye mete, with the same shall men mete to you againe.

¹⁴ What shall wee say then? Is there vnrighteousnes with God? God forbid.
