²³ Which remembred vs in our base estate: for his mercie endureth for euer:

¹ Now God remembred Noah and euery beast, and all the cattell that was with him in the Arke: therefore God made a winde to passe vpon the earth, and the waters ceased.

³⁶ For the Lord shall iudge his people, and repent towarde his seruants, when hee seeth that their power is gone, and none shut vp in holde nor left abroad.

⁷ The Lord maketh poore and maketh rich: bringeth lowe, and exalteth. ⁸ He raiseth vp ye poore out of the dust, and lifteth vp the begger from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherite the seate of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lordes, and he hath set the world vpon them.

¹² For he shall deliuer the poore when he cryeth: the needie also, and him that hath no helper. ¹³ He shalbe mercifull to the poore and needie, and shall preserue the soules of the poore. ¹⁴ He shall redeeme their soules from deceite and violence, and deare shall their blood be in his sight.

¹⁷ And shall turne vnto the prayer of the desolate, and not despise their prayer.

⁴³ Many a time did hee deliuer them, but they prouoked him by their counsels: therefore they were brought downe by their iniquitie. ⁴⁴ Yet hee sawe when they were in affliction, and he heard their crie. ⁴⁵ And he remembred his couenant towarde them and repented according to the multitude of his mercies,

⁷ He raiseth the needie out of the dust, and lifteth vp the poore out of the dung,

⁶ The Lord preserueth the simple: I was in miserie and he saued me.

⁶ Hearken vnto my crye, for I am brought very lowe: deliuer me from my persecuters, for they are too strong for me.

⁹ In all their troubles he was troubled, and the Angel of his presence saued them: in his loue and in his mercie he redeemed them, and he bare them and caried them alwayes continually.

³ And say, Thus saith the Lord God vnto Ierusalem, Thine habitation and thy kindred is of the land of Canaan: thy father was an Amorite, and thy mother an Hittite. ⁴ And in thy natiuitie whe thou wast borne, thy nauell was not cut: thou wast not washed in water to soften thee: thou wast not salted with salt, nor swadled in cloutes. ⁵ None eye pitied thee to do any of these vnto thee, for to haue compassion vpon thee, but thou wast cast out in the open fielde to the contempt of thy person in ye day that thou wast borne. ⁶ And when I passed by thee, I saw thee polluted in thine owne blood, and I said vnto thee, whe thou wast in thy blood, Thou shalt liue: euen when thou wast in thy blood, I saide vnto thee, Thou shalt liue. ⁷ I haue caused thee to multiplie as the bud of the fielde, and thou hast increased and waxen great, and thou hast gotten excellent ornaments: thy breastes are facioned, thine heare is growen, where as thou wast naked and bare. ⁸ Nowe when I passed by thee, and looked vpon thee, beholde, thy time was as the time of loue, and I spred my skirtes ouer thee, and couered thy filthines: yea, I sware vnto thee, and entred into a couenant with thee, saith the Lord God, and thou becamest mine. ⁹ Then washed I thee with water: yea, I washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oyle. ¹⁰ I clothed thee also with broydred worke, and shod thee with badgers skin: and I girded thee about with fine linen, and I couered thee with silke. ¹¹ I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets vpon thine handes, and a chaine on thy necke. ¹² And I put a frontlet vpon thy face, and earings in thine eares, and a beautifull crowne vpon thine head. ¹³ Thus wast thou deckt with gold and siluer, and thy rayment was of fine linen, and silke, and broydred worke: thou didest eate fine floure, and honie and oyle, and thou wast very beautifull, and thou didest grow vp into a kingdome.

⁴⁸ For hee hath looked on the poore degree of his seruaunt: for beholde, from henceforth shall all ages call me blessed,

⁵² Hee hath put downe the mighty from their seates, and exalted them of lowe degree.
