²⁹ Take from mee the way of lying, and graunt me graciously thy Lawe.

⁵ Oh that my waies were directed to keepe thy statutes!

³⁷ Turne away mine eies from regarding vanitie, and quicken me in thy way.

¹⁰⁴ By thy precepts I haue gotten vnderstanding: therefore I hate all the wayes of falshoode.

¹²⁸ Therefore I esteeme all thy precepts most iust, and hate all false wayes.

¹⁶³ I hate falshoode and abhorre it, but thy Lawe doe I loue.

³ Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth, and keepe the doore of my lips. ⁴ Incline not mine heart to euill, that I should commit wicked workes with men that worke iniquitie: and let me not eate of their delicates.

⁸ Remooue farre from me vanitie and lyes: giue me not pouertie, nor riches: feede me with foode conuenient for me,

²⁰ He feedeth of ashes: a seduced heart hath deceiued him, that he cannot deliuer his soule, nor say, Is there not a lye in my right hand?

¹⁹ O Lord, thou art my force, and my strength and my refuge in the day of affliction: the Gentiles shall come vnto thee from the ends of the world, and shall say, Surely our fathers haue inherited lies, and vanitie, wherein was no profite.

³³ But this shall be the couenant that I will make with the house of Israel, After those dayes, saith the Lord, I will put my Lawe in their inward partes, and write it in their hearts, and wil be their God, and they shalbe my people. ³⁴ And they shall teach no more euery man his neighbour and euery man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me from the least of them vnto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I wil forgiue their iniquitie, and will remember their sinnes no more.

⁸ They that waite vpon lying vanities, forsake their owne mercie.

²² That is, that yee cast off, concerning the conuersation in time past, that olde man, which is corrupt through the deceiueable lustes, ²³ And be renued in the spirit of your minde, ²⁴ And put on ye new man, which after God is created vnto righteousnes, and true holines. ²⁵ Wherefore cast off lying, and speake euery man truth vnto his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

¹⁰ For this is the Testament that I will make with the house of Israel, After those dayes, saith the Lord, I will put my Lawes in their minde, and in their heart I will write them, and I wil be their God, and they shalbe my people, ¹¹ And they shall not teache euery man his neighbour and euery man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall knowe me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.

⁸ If we say that we haue no sinne, we deceiue our selues, and trueth is not in vs.

⁴ Hee that saith, I knowe him, and keepeth not his commandements, is a liar, and the trueth is not in him.

¹⁵ For without shall be dogs and inchanters, and whoremongers, and murtherers, and idolaters, and whosoeuer loueth or maketh lies.
