¹²¹ AIN. I haue executed iudgement and iustice: leaue me not to mine oppressours.

¹¹ Behold, this day thine eyes haue seene, that the Lord had deliuered thee this day into mine hand in the caue, and some bade me kill thee, but I had compassion on thee, and said, I will not lay mine hande on my master: for he is the Lordes Anoynted. ¹² Moreouer my father, behold: behold, I say, the lappe of thy garment in mine hand: for when I cut off the lappe of thy garment, I killed thee not. Vnderstad and see, that there is neither euil nor wickednesse in mee, neither haue I sinned against thee, yet thou huntest after my soule to take it. ¹³ The Lord be iudge betweene thee and me, and the Lord auenge me of thee, and let not mine hand be vpon thee. ¹⁴ According as the olde prouerbe sayeth, Wickednesse proceedeth from the wicked, but mine hand be not vpon thee. ¹⁵ After whom is the King of Israel come out? after whome doest thou pursue? after a dead dog, and after a flea?

²⁸ I pray thee, forgiue the trespasse of thine handmaide: for the Lord will make my lorde a sure house, because my lord fighteth the battels of the Lord, and none euill hath bene found in thee in all thy life.

¹⁵ Thus Dauid reigned ouer all Israel, and executed iudgement and iustice vnto all his people.

³ O Lord my God, if I haue done this thing, if there be any wickednes in mine handes, ⁴ If I haue rewarded euill vnto him that had peace with mee, (yea I haue deliuered him that vexed me without cause) ⁵ Then let the enemie persecute my soule and take it: yea, let him treade my life downe vpon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah.

²⁰ The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousnes: according to the purenes of mine hands he recompensed me: ²¹ Because I kept the wayes of the Lord, and did not wickedly against my God. ²² For all his Lawes were before mee, and I did not cast away his commandements from mee. ²³ I was vpright also with him, and haue kept me from my wickednes. ²⁴ Therefore the Lord rewarded me according to my righteousnesse, and according to the purenes of mine hands in his sight.

³³ But the Lord wil not leaue him in his hand, nor condemne him, when he is iudged.

³ He will send from heauen, and saue me from the reproofe of him that would swallowe me. Selah. God wil send his mercy, and his trueth. ⁴ My soule is among lions: I lie among the children of men, that are set on fire: whose teeth are speares and arrowes, and their tongue a sharpe sworde.

² When I shall take a conuenient time, I will iudge righteously.

¹⁶ There went with vs also certaine of the disciples of Cesarea, and brought with them one Mnason of Cyprus, an olde disciple, with whome we should lodge.

¹⁰ Then said Paul, I stand at Caesars iudgment seate, where I ought to be iudged: to the Iewes I haue done no wrong, as thou very well knowest. ¹¹ For if I haue done wrong, or committed any thing worthie of death, I refuse not to die: but if there be none of these things whereof they accuse me, no man, to pleasure them, can deliuer me to them: I appeale vnto Caesar.

¹² For our reioycing is this, the testimonie of our conscience, that in simplicitie and godly purenesse, and not in fleshly wisedome, but by the grace of God wee haue had our conuersation in the worlde, and most of all to you wardes.

⁹ The Lord knoweth to deliuer the godly out of tentation, and to reserue the vniust vnto the day of iudgement vnder punishment.
