¹⁰⁶ I haue sworne and will performe it, that I will keepe thy righteous iudgements.

³ And the King stood by the pillar, and made a couenant before the Lord, that they shoulde walke after the Lord, and keepe his commandements, and his testimonies, and his statutes with all their heart, and with all their soule, that they might accomplish the wordes of this couenant written in this booke. And all the people stood to the couenant.

¹³ And whosoeuer will not seeke the Lord God of Israel, shalbe slaine, whether he were small or great, man or woman. ¹⁴ And they sware vnto the Lord with a loude voyce, and with shouting and with trumpets, and with cornets.

²⁹ The chiefe of them receiued it for their brethren, and they came to the curse and to the othe to walke in Gods Law, which was giuen by Moses the seruant of God, to obserue and doe all the commandements of the Lord our God, and his iudgements and his statutes:

¹² Thy vowes are vpon me, O God: I will render prayses vnto thee.

¹³ I will go into thine House with burnt offrings, and will pay thee my vowes, ¹⁴ Which my lippes haue promised, and my mouth hath spoken in mine affliction.

¹¹⁵ Away from mee, yee wicked: for I will keepe the commandements of my God.

⁴ It is better that thou shouldest not vowe, then that thou shouldest vow and not pay it. ⁵ Suffer not thy mouth to make thy flesh to sinne: neither say before the Angel, that this is ignorance: wherefore shall God bee angry by thy voyce, and destroy the worke of thine hands?

³³ Againe, ye haue heard that it was sayd to them of old time, Thou shalt not forsweare thy selfe, but shalt performe thine othes to the Lord.

⁵ And this they did, not as we looked for: but gaue their owne selues, first to the Lord, and after vnto vs by the will of God,
