⁵ He hath giuen a portion vnto them that feare him: he wil euer be mindfull of his couenant.

⁵ And sayde, O Lord God of heauen, the great and terrible God, that keepeth couenant and mercy for them that loue him, and obserue his commandements,

⁹ Feare the Lord, ye his Saintes: for nothing wanteth to them that feare him. ¹⁰ The lyons doe lacke and suffer hunger, but they, which seeke the Lord, shall want nothing that is good.

³ Trust thou in the Lord and do good: dwell in the land, and thou shalt be fed assuredly.

³⁴ My couenant wil I not breake, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

⁸ He hath alway remembred his couenant and promise, that he made to a thousand generations,

⁴⁵ And he remembred his couenant towarde them and repented according to the multitude of his mercies,

¹⁶ He shall dwell on hie: his defence shall be the munitions of rockes: bread shalbe giuen him, and his waters shalbe sure.

⁴ And I prayed vnto the Lord my God, and made my confession, saying, Oh Lord God, which art great and fearefull, and keepest couenant and mercy toward them which loue thee, and toward them that keepe thy commandements,

²⁶ Behold the foules of the heauen: for they sowe not, neither reape, nor carie into the barnes: yet your heauenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better then they? ²⁷ Which of you by taking care is able to adde one cubite vnto his stature? ²⁸ And why care ye for raiment? Learne howe the lilies of the fielde doe growe: they are not wearied, neither spinne: ²⁹ Yet I say vnto you, that euen Salomon in all his glorie was not arayed like one of these. ³⁰ Wherefore if God so clothe the grasse of the fielde which is to day, and to morowe is cast into the ouen, shall he not doe much more vnto you, O ye of litle faith? ³¹ Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eate? or what shall we drinke? or where with shall we be clothed? ³² (For after all these things seeke the Gentiles) for your heauenly Father knoweth, that ye haue neede of all these things. ³³ But seeke ye first the kingdome of God, and his righteousnesse, and all these things shall be ministred vnto you.

⁷² That he might shewe mercie towards our fathers, and remember his holy couenant,

³⁰ For all such things the people of the world seeke for: and your Father knoweth that ye haue neede of these things.
