⁴² For he remembred his holy promise to Abraham his seruant,

⁷ And the Lord appeared vnto Abram, and said, Vnto thy seede will I giue this land. And there builded he an altar vnto the Lord, which appeared vnto him.

¹⁴ Then the Lord saide vnto Abram, (after that Lot was departed from him) Lift vp thine eyes nowe, and looke from the place where thou art, Northward, and Southward, and Eastwarde, and Westward: ¹⁵ For all the land, which thou seest, will I giue vnto thee and to thy seede for euer, ¹⁶ And I will make thy seede, as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seede be numbred. ¹⁷ Arise, walke through the land, in ye length thereof, and breadth thereof: for I will giue it vnto thee.

¹³ Then he saide to Abram, Knowe for a suretie, that thy seede shalbe a stranger in a land, that is not theirs, foure hundreth yeeres, and shall serue them: and they shall intreate them euill. ¹⁴ Notwithstanding the nation, whom they shall serue, will I iudge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.

²⁴ Then God heard their mone, and God remembred his couenant with Abraham, Izhak, and Iaakob.

¹³ Remember Abraham, Izhak, and Israel thy seruants, to whom thou swarest by thine owne selfe, and saydest vnto them, I wil multiply your seede, as the starres of the heauen, and all this land, that I haue spoken of, wil I giue vnto your seede, and they shall inherit it for euer.

⁵ For thou entrest not to inherite their lande for thy righteousnesse, or for thy vpright heart: but for the wickednesse of those nations, the Lord thy God doth cast them out before thee, and that he might performe the worde which the Lord thy God sware vnto thy fathers, Abraham, Izhak, and Iacob.

²⁷ Remember thy seruants Abraham, Izhak, and Iaakob: looke not to ye stubburnes of this people, nor to their wickednes, nor to their sinne,

⁸ He hath alway remembred his couenant and promise, that he made to a thousand generations, ⁹ Euen that which he made with Abraham, and his othe vnto Izhak: ¹⁰ And since hath confirmed it to Iaakob for a lawe, and to Israel for an euerlasting couenant, ¹¹ Saying, Vnto thee will I giue the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance.

²⁰ Thou wilt perfourme thy trueth to Iaakob, and mercie to Abraham, as thou hast sworne vnto our fathers in olde time.

⁵⁴ Hee hath vpholden Israel his seruaunt to be mindefull of his mercie ⁵⁵ (As hee hath spoken to our fathers, to wit, to Abraham, and his seede) for euer.

⁷² That he might shewe mercie towards our fathers, and remember his holy couenant, ⁷³ And the othe which he sware to our father Abraham.
