²² His owne iniquities shall take the wicked himselfe, and he shall be holden with the cordes of his owne sinne.

²³ But if ye will not doe so, beholde, ye haue sinned against the Lord, and be sure, that your sinne will finde you out.

¹⁵ Hee hath made a pitte and digged it, and is fallen into the pit that he made. ¹⁶ His mischiefe shall returne vpon his owne head, and his crueltie shall fall vpon his owne pate.

¹⁵ The heathen are sunken downe in the pit that they made: in the nette that they hid, is their foote taken.

¹⁸ So they lay waite for blood and lie priuily for their liues.

³¹ Therefore shall they eate of ye fruite of their owne way, and be filled with their owne deuises. ³² For ease slaieth the foolish, and the prosperitie of fooles destroyeth them.

³ The vprightnes of the iust shall guide them: but the frowardnes of the transgressers shall destroy them.

⁵ The righteousnes of the vpright shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall in his owne wickednes.

²⁶ It is farre off, what may it be? and it is a profound deepenesse, who can finde it?

¹⁹ Thine owne wickednes shall correct thee, and thy turnings backe shall reprooue thee: know therefore and beholde, that it is an euil thing, and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the Lord thy God, and that my feare is not in thee, sayeth the Lord God of hostes.

¹¹ Whoredome, and wine, and newe wine take away their heart. ¹² My people aske counsell at their stockes, and their staffe teacheth them: for the spirite of fornications hath caused them to erre, and they haue gone a whoring from vnder their God. ¹³ They sacrifice vpon the toppes of ye mountaines, and burne incense vpon the hilles vnder the okes, and the poplar tree, and the elme, because the shadow thereof is good: therefore your daughters shall be harlots, and your spouses shall be whores. ¹⁴ I will not visite your daughters when they are harlots: nor your spouses when they are whores: for they themselues are separated with harlots, and sacrifice with whores: therefore the people that doeth not vnderstand, shall fall.

⁹ I wrote vnto you in an Epistle, that ye should not companie together with fornicatours, ¹⁰ And not altogether with the fornicatours of this world, or with the couetous, or with extortioners, or with idolaters: for then ye must goe out of the world.

¹⁹ Moreouer the workes of the flesh are manifest, which are adulterie, fornication, vncleannes, wantonnes, ²⁰ Idolatrie, witchcraft, hatred, debate, emulations, wrath, contentions, seditions, heresies, ²¹ Enuie, murthers, drunkennesse, gluttonie, and such like, whereof I tell you before, as I also haue tolde you before, that they which doe such things, shall not inherite the kingdome of God.

⁷ Be not deceiued: God is not mocked: for whatsoeuer a man soweth, that shall hee also reape. ⁸ For hee that soweth to his flesh, shall of the flesh reape corruption: but hee that soweth to the spirit, shall of the spirit reape life euerlasting.

⁵ For this ye know, that no whoremonger, neither vncleane person, nor couetous person, which is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdome of Christ, and of God. ⁶ Let no man deceiue you with vaine wordes: for, for such thinges commeth the wrath of God vpon the children of disobedience.

⁴ Mariage is honorable among all, and the bed vndefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will iudge.
