⁶ Giue ye strong drinke vnto him that is readie to perish, and wine vnto them that haue griefe of heart.

¹⁰ And she was troubled in her minde, and prayed vnto the Lord, and wept sore:

⁶ And Dauid was in great sorowe: for the people entended to stone him, because the heartes of all the people were vexed euery man for his sonnes and for his daughters: but Dauid comforted him selfe in the Lord his God.

²⁷ And when shee came to the man of God vnto the moutaine, she caught him by his feete: and Gehazi went to her, to thrust her away: but the man of God said, Let her alone: for her soule is vexed within her, and the Lord hath hid it from me, and hath not told it mee.

²⁰ Wherefore is the light giuen to him that is in miserie? and life vnto them that haue heauie hearts?

¹³ The blessing of him that was ready to perish, came vpon me, and I caused the widowes heart to reioyce.

¹⁵ And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oyle to make the face to shine, and bread that strengtheneth mans heart.

²³ Drinke no longer water, but vse a litle wine for thy stomakes sake, and thine often infirmities.
