¹⁰ Instruction is euill to him that forsaketh the way, and he that hateth correction, shall die.

¹² And say, How haue I hated instruction, and mine heart despised correction!

¹⁷ He that regardeth instruction, is in the way of life: but he that refuseth correction, goeth out of the way.

¹ He that loueth instruction, loueth knowledge: but he that hateth correction, is a foole.

¹ A wise sonne will obey the instruction of his father: but a scorner will heare no rebuke.

³⁵ They haue stricken mee, shalt thou say, but I was not sicke: they haue beaten mee, but I knew not, when I awoke: therefore will I seeke it yet still.

⁵ Wherefore shoulde ye be smitten any more? for ye fall away more and more: the whole head is sicke, and the whole heart is heauie. ⁶ From the sole of the foote vnto the head, there is nothing whole therein, but wounds, and swelling, and sores full of corruption: they haue not bene wrapped, nor bound vp, nor mollified with oyle.

¹³ Thou remainest in thy filthines and wickednes: because I would haue purged thee, and thou wast not purged, thou shalt not be purged from thy filthines, till I haue caused my wrath to light vpon thee. ¹⁴ I the Lord haue spoken it: it shall come to passe, and I will doe it: I will not goe backe, neither will I spare, neither will I repent: according to thy wayes, and according to thy workes shall they iudge thee, sayeth the Lord God.

²⁰ For euery man that euill doeth, hateth the light, neither commeth to light, least his deedes should be reprooued.

⁷ The world can not hate you: but me it hateth, because I testifie of it, that the workes thereof are euill.
