¹³ So that my bandes in Christ are famous throughout all the iudgement hall, and in all other places,

²³ Saue that ye holy Ghost witnesseth in euery citie, saying, that bondes and afflictions abide me. ²⁴ But I passe not at all, neither is my life deare vnto my selfe, so that I may fulfill my course with ioye, and the ministration which I haue receiued of the Lord Iesus, to testifie the Gospell of the grace of God.

¹¹ And when he was come vnto vs, he tooke Pauls girdle, and bound his owne hands and feete, and sayd, Thus sayth the holy Ghost, So shall the Iewes at Hierusalem binde the man that oweth this girdle, and shall deliuer him into the hands of the Gentiles. ¹² And when we had heard these things, both we and other of the same place besought him that he would not go vp to Hierusalem. ¹³ Then Paul answered, and sayd, What doe ye weeping and breaking mine heart? For I am ready not to be bound onely, but also to die at Hierusalem for the Name of the Lord Iesus.

²⁹ Then Paul sayd, I would to God that not onely thou, but also all that heare me to day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.

³¹ And when they were gone apart, they talked betweene themselues, saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death, nor of bonds.

¹⁷ And the third day after, Paul called the chiefe of the Iewes together: and when they were come, he said vnto them, Men and brethren, though I haue committed nothing against the people, or Lawes of the fathers, yet was I deliuered prisoner from Hierusalem into the handes of the Romanes.

²⁰ For this cause therefore haue I called for you, to see you, and to speake with you: for that hope of Israels sake, I am bound with this chaine.

³⁰ And Paul remained two yeeres full in an house hired for himselfe, and receiued all that came in vnto him,

¹ For this cause, I Paul am the prisoner of Iesus Christ for you Gentiles,

¹ I therefore, being prisoner in the Lord, praie you that yee walke worthie of the vocation whereunto yee are called,

²⁰ Whereof I am the ambassadour in bonds, that therein I may speake boldely, as I ought to speake.

⁷ As it becommeth me so to iudge of you all, because I haue you in remembrance that both in my bands, and in my defence, and confirmation of the Gospell you all were partakers of my grace.

²² All the Saintes salute you, and most of all they which are of Cesars houshold.

³ Praying also for vs, that God may open vnto vs the doore of vtterance, to speake ye mysterie of Christ: wherefore I am also in bonds, ⁴ That I may vtter it, as it becommeth mee to speake. ⁵ Walke wisely towarde them that are without, and redeeme the season. ⁶ Let your speach be gracious alwayes, and powdred with salt, that ye may know how to answere euery man. ⁷ Tychicus our beloued brother and faithfull minister, and fellow seruant in the Lord, shall declare vnto you my whole state: ⁸ Whom I haue sent vnto you for the same purpose that he might know your state, and might comfort your hearts, ⁹ With Onesimus a faithfull and a beloued brother, who is one of you. They shall shew you of all things here. ¹⁰ Aristarchus my prison fellow saluteth you, and Marcus, Barnabas cousin (touching whom ye receiued commandements. If he come vnto you, receiue him) ¹¹ And Iesus which is called Iustus, which are of the circumcision. These onely are my worke fellowes vnto the kingdome of God, which haue bene vnto my consolation. ¹² Epaphras the seruant of Christ, which is one of you, saluteth you, and alwayes striueth for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect, and full in all the will of God. ¹³ For I beare him record, that he hath a great zeale for you, and for them of Laodicea, and them of Hierapolis. ¹⁴ Luke the beloued physician greeteth you, and Demas. ¹⁵ Salute the brethren which are of Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the Church which is in his house. ¹⁶ And when this Epistle is read of you, cause that it be read in the Church of the Laodiceans also, and that ye likewise reade the Epistle written from Laodicea. ¹⁷ And say to Archippus, Take heede to the ministerie, that thou hast receiued in the Lord, that thou fulfill it. ¹⁸ The salutation by the hand of me Paul. Remember my bands. Grace be with you, Amen.

⁸ For from you sounded out the worde of the Lord, not in Macedonia and in Achaia only: but your faith also which is toward God, spred abroad in all quarters, that we neede not to speake any thing. ⁹ For they themselues shew of vs what maner of entring in we had vnto you, and how ye turned to God from idoles, to serue the liuing and true God,

⁹ Wherein I suffer trouble as an euill doer, euen vnto bondes: but the worde of God is not bounde.

¹² Dearely beloued, thinke it not strange concerning the firie triall, which is among you to proue you, as though some strange thing were come vnto you: ¹³ But reioyce, in asmuch as ye are partakers of Christs suffrings, that when his glory shall appeare, ye may be glad and reioyce. ¹⁴ If yee be railed vpon for the Name of Christ, blessed are ye: for the spirit of glory, and of God resteth vpon you: which on their part is euill spoken of: but on your part is glorified. ¹⁵ But let none of you suffer as a murtherer, or as a thiefe, or an euil doer, or as a busibodie in other mens matters. ¹⁶ But if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not bee ashamed: but let him glorifie God in this behalfe.
