⁶ So the Lord passed before his face, and cried, The Lord, the Lord, strong, mercifull, and gracious, slowe to anger, and abundant in goodnesse and trueth, ⁷ Reseruing mercy for thousands, forgiuing iniquitie, and transgression and sinne, and not making the wicked innocent, visiting the iniquitie of the fathers vpon ye children, and vpon childrens children, vnto the third and fourth generation.

⁹ And sayde, O Lord, I pray thee, If I haue founde grace in thy sight, that the Lord woulde nowe goe with vs ( for it is a stiffe necked people) and pardon our iniquitie and our sinne, and take vs for thine inheritance.

³⁸ For the cloude of the Lord was vpon the Tabernacle by day, and fire was in it by night in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their iourneyes.

⁵ We haue sinned, and haue committed iniquitie and haue done wickedly, yea, we haue rebelled, and haue departed from thy precepts, and from thy iudgements.

⁹ Yet compassion and forgiuenesse is in the Lord our God, albeit we haue rebelled against him.

¹⁹ O Lord, heare, O Lord forgiue, O Lord consider, and doe it: deferre not, for thine owne sake, O my God: for thy Name is called vpon thy citie, and vpon thy people.

²⁴ Seuentie weekes are determined vpon thy people and vpon thine holy citie, to finish the wickednes, and to seale vp the sinnes, and to reconcile the inquitie, and to bring in euerlasting righteousnesse, and to seale vp the vision and prophecie, and to anoynt the most Holy.

⁹ Iesus sayd vnto him, I haue bene so long time with you, and hast thou not knowen mee, Philippe? he that hath seene me, hath seene my Father: how then sayest thou, Shewe vs thy Father?

²⁴ If I had not done workes among them which none other man did, they had not had sinne: but nowe haue they both seene, and haue hated both me, and my Father.

³⁹ To whom our fathers would not obey, but refused, and in their hearts turned backe againe into Egypt:

⁵² Which of the Prophets haue not your fathers persecuted? and they haue slaine them, which shewed before of the comming of that Iust, of whome ye are now the betrayers and murtherers,

⁵⁹ And they stoned Steuen, who called on God, and said, Lord Iesus, receiue my spirit.

²³ Who when he was come and had seene the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted all, that with purpose of heart they would continue in the Lord.

⁴¹ Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and vanish away: for I woorke a woorke in your daies, a woorke which yee shall not beleeue, if a man would declare it you.

²⁴ And are iustified freely by his grace, through the redemption that is in Christ Iesus, ²⁵ Whom God hath set forth to be a reconciliation through faith in his blood to declare his righteousnes, by the forgiuenesse of the sinnes that are passed, ²⁶ Through the patience of God, to shewe at this time his righteousnesse, that hee might be iust, and a iustifier of him which is of the faith of Iesus.

²¹ That as sinne had reigned vnto death, so might grace also reigne by righteousnesse vnto eternall life, through Iesus Christ our Lord.

³¹ What shall we then say to these thinges? If God be on our side, who can be against vs?

⁵ But with many of them God was not pleased: for they were ouerthrowen in ye wildernes.

⁹ Neither let vs tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted him, and were destroyed of serpents. ¹⁰ Neither murmure ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. ¹¹ Nowe all these things came vnto them for ensamples, and were written to admonish vs, vpon whome the endes of the world are come.

¹² For nowe we see through a glasse darkely: but then shall wee see face to face. Nowe I know in part: but then shall I know euen as I am knowen.

⁷ By whom we haue redemption through his blood, euen the forgiuenes of sinnes, according to his rich grace: ⁸ Whereby he hath bene aboundant toward vs in all wisedome and vnderstanding,

⁶ Not with seruice to the eye, as men pleasers, but as the seruants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart,

²⁷ Onely let your conuersation be, as it becommeth the Gospel of Christ, that whether I come and see you, or els be absent, I may heare of your matters that ye continue in one Spirit, and in one mind, fighting together through the faith of the Gospel.

¹⁴ Do all things without murmuring and reasonings, ¹⁵ That ye may be blamelesse, and pure, and the sonnes of God without rebuke in the middes of a naughtie and crooked nation, among whom yee shine as lights in the world,

²³ And whatsoeuer ye doe, doe it heartily, as to the Lord, and not to men,

⁴ But when that bountifulnesse and that loue of God our Sauiour toward man appeared, ⁵ Not by the woorkes of righteousnesse, which we had done, but according to his mercie he saued vs, by the washing of the newe birth, and the renewing of the holy Ghost, ⁶ Which he shed on vs aboundantly, through Iesus Christ our Sauiour, ⁷ That we, being iustified by his grace, should be made heires according to the hope of eternall life. ⁸ Harden not your hearts, as in the prouocation, according to the day of the tentation in the wildernes, ⁹ Where your fathers tempted me, prooued me, and sawe my workes fourtie yeeres long.

¹ Let vs feare therefore, least at any time by forsaking the promise of entring into his rest, any of you should seeme to be depriued.

³ For we which haue beleeued, doe enter into rest, as he said to the other, As I haue sworne in my wrath, If they shall enter into my rest: although the workes were finished from the foundation of the world.

³⁸ Nowe the iust shall liue by faith: but if any withdrawe himselfe, my soule shall haue no pleasure in him. ³⁹ But we are not they which withdrawe our selues vnto perdition, but follow faith vnto the conseruation of the soule.

¹⁵ And if they had bene mindfull of that countrey, from whence they came out, they had leasure to haue returned.

¹⁵ And the prayer of faith shall saue the sicke, and the Lord shall raise him vp: and if he haue committed sinnes, they shalbe forgiuen him. ¹⁶ Acknowledge your faultes one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed: for the prayer of a righteous man auaileth much, if it be feruent.

²¹ For it had bene better for them, not to haue acknowledged the way of righteousnes, then after they haue acknowledged it, to turne from the holy commandement giuen vnto them. ²² But it is come vnto them, according to the true Prouerbe, The dogge is returned to his owne vomit: and, The sowe that was washed, to the wallowing in the myre.

² Dearely beloued, nowe are we the sonnes of God, but yet it is not made manifest what we shall be: and we know that when he shalbe made manifest, we shalbe like him: for we shall see him as he is.

¹⁴ And this is that assurance, that we haue in him, that if we aske any thing according to his will, he heareth vs. ¹⁵ And if we know that he heareth vs, whatsoeuer we aske, we know that we haue the petitions, that we haue desired of him. ¹⁶ If any man see his brother sinne a sinne that is not vnto death, let him aske, and he shall giue him life for them that sinne not vnto death. There is a sinne vnto death: I say not that thou shouldest pray for it.

⁵ I wil therfore put you in remebrance, forasmuch as ye once knew this, how that the Lord, after that he had deliuered the people out of Egypt, destroied them afterward which beleeued not.

¹¹ And all the Angels stoode rounde about the throne, and about the Elders, and the foure beastes, and they fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,

³ But I wil giue power vnto my two witnesses, and they shall prophecie a thousande two hundreth and threescore dayes, clothed in sackcloth.
