¹⁷ They that buylded on the wall, and they that bare burdens, and they that laded, did the worke with one hand, and with the other helde the sworde.

²⁵ Knowe therefore and vnderstande, that from the going foorth of the commandement to bring againe the people, and to builde Ierusalem, vnto Messiah the prince, shall be seuen weekes and threescore and two weekes, and the streete shalbe built againe, and the wall euen in a troublous time.

¹² If others with you bee partakers of this power, are not we rather? neuerthelesse, we haue not vsed this power: but suffer all things, that we should not hinder the Gospel of Christ.

⁹ For a great doore and effectuall is opened vnto me: and there are many aduersaries.

¹³ Watch ye: stand fast in the faith: quite you like men, and be strong.

⁷ By the worde of trueth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousnesse on the right hand, and on the left,

¹¹ Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the assaultes of the deuil. ¹² For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, and against the worldly gouernours, the princes of the darkenesse of this worlde, against spirituall wickednesses, which are in ye hie places. ¹³ For this cause take vnto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to resist in the euill day, and hauing finished all things, stand fast. ¹⁴ Stand therefore, and your loynes girded about with veritie, and hauing on the brest plate of righteousnesse, ¹⁵ And your feete shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace. ¹⁶ Aboue all, take the shielde of faith, wherewith ye may quench all the fierie dartes of the wicked, ¹⁷ And take the helmet of saluation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the worde of God. ¹⁸ And pray alwayes with all maner prayer and supplication in the Spirit: and watch thereunto with all perseuerance and supplication for al Saints, ¹⁹ And for me, that vtterance may be giuen vnto me, that I may open my mouth boldly to publish the secret of the Gospel, ²⁰ Whereof I am the ambassadour in bonds, that therein I may speake boldely, as I ought to speake.

²⁸ And in nothing feare your aduersaries, which is to them a token of perdition, and to you of saluation, and that of God.

³ Thou therefore suffer affliction as a good souldier of Iesus Christ.

⁷ I haue fought a good fight, and haue finished my course: I haue kept the faith.
