³ The Lord is slow to anger, but he is great in power, and will not surely cleare the wicked: the Lord hath his way in ye whirlewind, and in the storme, and the cloudes are the dust of his feete.

¹⁶ And the thirde day, when it was morning, there was thunders and lightnings, and a thicke cloude vpon the mount, and the sounde of the trumpet exceeding loude, so that all the people, that was in the campe, was afrayde. ¹⁷ Then Moses brought the people out of the tents to meete with God, and they stoode in the nether part of the mount. ¹⁸ And mount Sinai was all on smoke, because the Lord came downe vpon it in fire, and the smoke therof ascended, as the smoke of a fornace, and all the mount trembled exceedingly.

⁶ So the Lord passed before his face, and cried, The Lord, the Lord, strong, mercifull, and gracious, slowe to anger, and abundant in goodnesse and trueth, ⁷ Reseruing mercy for thousands, forgiuing iniquitie, and transgression and sinne, and not making the wicked innocent, visiting the iniquitie of the fathers vpon ye children, and vpon childrens children, vnto the third and fourth generation.

¹⁸ The Lord is slowe to anger, and of great mercie, and forgiuing iniquitie, and sinne, but not making the wicked innocent, and visiting the wickednes of the fathers vpon the children, in the thirde and fourth generation:

²² These wordes the Lord spake vnto all your multitude in the mount out of the mids of the fire, the cloude and the darkenes, with a great voyce, and added no more thereto: and wrote them vpon two tables of stone, and deliuered them vnto me. ²³ And when ye heard the voyce out of the middes of the darkenes, (for the mountaine did burne with fire) then ye came to me, all the chiefe of your tribes, and your Elders: ²⁴ And ye sayd, Beholde, the Lord our God hath shewed vs his glory and his greatnes, and we haue heard his voyce out of the middes of the fire: we haue seene this day that God doeth talke with man, and he liueth.

¹¹ And he saide, Come out, and stand vpon the mount before the Lord. And beholde, the Lord went by, and a mightie strong winde rent the mountaines, and brake the rockes before the Lord: but the Lord was not in the winde: and after the wind came an earthquake: but the Lord was not in the earthquake: ¹² And after the earthquake came fire: but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire came a still and soft voyce. ¹³ And when Eliiah heard it, he couered his face with his mantel, and went out, and stoode in the entring in of ye caue: and behold, there came a voyce vnto him, and sayd, What doest thou here, Eliiah?

¹⁷ But refused to obey, and would not remember thy marueilous works that thou haddest done for them, but hardened their neckes, and had in their heads to returne to their bondage by their rebellion: but thou, O God of mercies, gratious and full of compassion, of long suffring and of great mercie, yet forsookest them not.

⁴ He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath bene fierce against him and hath prospered?

¹⁴ If I haue sinned, then thou wilt streightly looke vnto me, and wilt not holde mee giltlesse of mine iniquitie.

¹ Then answered the Lord vnto Iob out of the whirle winde, and said,

⁷ Then the earth trembled, and quaked: the foundations also of the mountaines mooued and shooke, because he was angrie. ⁸ Smoke went out at his nostrels, and a consuming fire out of his mouth: coales were kindled thereat. ⁹ He bowed the heauens also and came downe, and darkenes was vnder his feete. ¹⁰ And he rode vpon Cherub and did flie, and he came flying vpon the wings of the winde. ¹¹ He made darkenes his secrete place, and his pauilion round about him, euen darkenesse of waters, and cloudes of the ayre. ¹² At the brightnes of his presence his clouds passed, haylestones and coles of fire. ¹³ The Lord also thundred in the heauen, and the Highest gaue his voyce, haylestones and coales of fire. ¹⁴ Then hee sent out his arrowes and scattred them, and he increased lightnings and destroyed them. ¹⁵ And the chanels of waters were seene, and the foundations of the worlde were discouered at thy rebuking, O Lord, at the blasting of the breath of thy nostrels.

³ Our God shall come and shall not keepe silence: a fire shall deuoure before him, and a mightie tempest shall be mooued round about him.

¹¹ God spake once or twise, I haue heard it, that power belongeth vnto God,

³ Say vnto God, Howe terrible art thou in thy workes! through the greatnesse of thy power shall thine enemies be in subiection vnto thee.

² Cloudes and darkenes are round about him: righteousnesse and iudgement are the foundation of his throne. ³ There shall goe a fire before him, and burne vp his enemies round about. ⁴ His lightnings gaue light vnto the worlde: the earth sawe it and was afraide. ⁵ The mountaines melted like waxe at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

⁸ The Lord is full of compassion and mercie, slowe to anger and of great kindnesse.

³ Which layeth the beames of his chambers in the waters, and maketh the cloudes his chariot, and walketh vpon the wings of the winde.

⁸ The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great mercie.

⁵ Great is our Lord, and great is his power: his wisdome is infinite.

¹ The burden of Egypt. Beholde, the Lord rideth vpon a swift cloude, and shall come into Egypt, and the idoles of Egypt shall be moued at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the middes of her.

¹⁵ For beholde, the Lord will come with fire, and his charets like a whirlewinde, that he may recompence his anger with wrath, and his indignation with the flame of fire.

¹³ As I behelde in visions by night, behold, one like the sonne of man came in the cloudes of heauen, and approched vnto the Ancient of dayes, and they brought him before him.

¹³ And rent your heart, and not your clothes: and turne vnto the Lord your God, for he is gratious, and mercifull, slowe to anger, and of great kindnes, and repenteth him of the euill.

² And he prayed vnto the Lord, and saide, I pray thee, O Lord, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my countrey? therefore I preuented it to flee vnto Tarshish: for I knewe that thou art a gratious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindnes, and repentest thee of the euill.

⁵ Before him went the pestilence, and burning coales went forth before his feete. ⁶ He stoode and measured the earth: he behelde and dissolued the nations and the euerlasting mountaines were broken, and the ancient hilles did bowe: his wayes are euerlasting. ⁷ For his iniquitie I sawe the tentes of Cushan, and the curtaines of the land of Midian did tremble. ⁸ Was the Lord angry against the riuers? or was thine anger against the floods? or was thy wrath against the sea, that thou diddest ride vpon thine horses? thy charets brought saluation. ⁹ Thy bowe was manifestly reueiled, and the othes of the tribes were a sure worde, Selah. thou diddest cleaue the earth with riuers. ¹⁰ The mountaines sawe thee, and they trembled: the streame of the water passed by: the deepe made a noyse, and lift vp his hand on hie. ¹¹ The sunne and moone stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrowes they went, and at the bright shining of thy speares. ¹² Thou trodest downe the land in anger, and didest thresh the heathen in displeasure. ¹³ Thou wentest foorth for the saluation of thy people, euen for saluation with thine Anointed: thou hast wounded the head of the house of the wicked, and discoueredst the foundations vnto the necke, Selah. ¹⁴ Thou didest strike thorowe with his owne staues the heades of his villages: they came out as a whirle winde to scatter me: their reioycing was as to deuoure the poore secretly. ¹⁵ Thou didest walke in the sea with thine horses vpon the heape of great waters.

¹⁴ And the Lord shalbe seene ouer them, and his arrowe shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord God shall blowe the trumpet, and shall come forth with the whirlewindes of the South.

⁶⁴ Iesus saide to him, Thou hast saide it: neuerthelesse I say vnto you, hereafter shall ye see the Sonne of man, sitting at the right hande of the power of God, and come in the cloudes of the heauen.

¹⁹ And what is the exceeding greatnesse of his power toward vs, which beleeue, according to the working of his mightie power, ²⁰ Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his right hand in the heauenly places,

¹⁹ Wherefore my deare brethren, let euery man be swift to heare, slowe to speake, and slowe to wrath.

⁷ Beholde, he commeth with cloudes, and euery eye shall see him: yea, euen they which pearced him thorowe: and all kinreds of the earth shall waile before him, Euen so, Amen.
