¹³ Then were brought to him litle children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.

¹ Againe after this, one sayd to Ioseph, Loe, thy father is sicke: then hee tooke with him his two sonnes, Manasseh and Ephraim.

⁹ And Ioseph sayd vnto his father, They are my sonnes, which God hath giuen mee here. Then he sayd, I pray thee, bring them to me, that I may blesse them: ¹⁰ (For the eyes of Israel were dimme for age, so that hee coulde not well see) Then he caused them to come to him, and he kissed them and embraced them. ¹¹ And Israel sayde vnto Ioseph, I had not thought to haue seene thy face: yet lo, God hath shewed me also thy seede. ¹² And Ioseph tooke them away from his knees, and did reuerence downe to the ground. ¹³ Then tooke Ioseph them both, Ephraim in his right hand towarde Israels left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand toward Israels right hand, so he brought them vnto him. ¹⁴ But Israel stretched out his right hand, and layde it on Ephraims head, which was the yonger, and his left hande vpon Manassehs head (directing his handes of purpose) for Manasseh was the elder. ¹⁵ Also he blessed Ioseph and sayde, The God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Izhak did walke, the God, which hath fed me al my life long vnto this day, blesse thee. ¹⁶ The Angel, which hath deliuered me from all euill, blesse the children, and let my name be named vpon them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Izhak, that they may growe as fish into a multitude in the middes of the earth. ¹⁷ But when Ioseph sawe that his father layde his right hande vpon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he stayed his fathers hand to remooue it from Ephraims head to Manassehs head. ¹⁸ And Ioseph sayde vnto his father, Not so, my father, for this is the eldest: put thy right hand vpon his head. ¹⁹ But his father refused, and sayd, I know well, my sonne, I know well: he shalbe also a people, and he shalbe great likewise: but his yonger brother shalbe greater then he, and his seede shall be full of nations. ²⁰ So he blessed them that day, and sayde, In thee Israel shall blesse, and say, God make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh. and he set Ephraim before Manasseh.

²⁴ And when she had weined him, she tooke him with her with three bullockes and an Ephah of floure and a bottell of wine, and brought him vnto the house of the Lord in Shiloh, and the childe was yong.

¹⁴ The Lord will increase his graces towarde you, euen toward you and toward your children. ¹⁵ Ye are blessed of the Lord, which made the heauen and the earth.

³⁹ And I wil giue them one heart and one way that they may feare me for euer for ye wealth of them, and of their children after them.

²² Then Peter tooke him aside, and began to rebuke him, saying, Master, pitie thy selfe: this shall not be vnto thee.

² And Iesus called a litle childe vnto him, and set him in the mids of them, ³ And sayd, Verely I say vnto you, except ye be conuerted, and become as litle children, ye shall not enter into the kingdome of heauen. ⁴ Whosoeuer therefore shall humble himselfe as this litle childe, the same is the greatest in the kingdome of heauen. ⁵ And whosoeuer shall receiue one such litle childe in my name, receiueth me.

³¹ And the multitude rebuked them, because they should holde their peace: but they cried the more, saying, O Lord, the Sonne of Dauid, haue mercie on vs.

¹³ Then they brought litle children to him, that he should touch them, and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. ¹⁴ But when Iesus sawe it, he was displeased, and said to them, Suffer the litle children to come vnto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdome of God. ¹⁵ Verely I say vnto you, Whosoeuer shall not receiue the kingdome of God as a litle childe, he shall not enter therein. ¹⁶ And he tooke them vp in his armes, and put his hands vpon them, and blessed them.

⁴⁹ And Iohn answered and saide, Master, we sawe one casting out deuils in thy Name, and we forbad him, because he followeth thee not with vs. ⁵⁰ Then Iesus saide vnto him, Forbid ye him not: for he that is not against vs, is with vs.

⁵⁴ And when his disciples, Iames and Iohn sawe it, they saide, Lord, wilt thou that we commaund, that fire come downe from heauen, and consume them, euen as Elias did? ⁵⁵ But Iesus turned about, and rebuked them, and said, Ye knowe not of what spirit ye are.

¹⁵ They brought vnto him also babes that he should touche them. And when his disciples sawe it, they rebuked them. ¹⁶ But Iesus called them vnto him, and said, Suffer the babes to come vnto mee, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdome of God. ¹⁷ Verely I say vnto you, whosoeuer receiueth not the kingdome of God as a babe, he shall not enter therein.

³⁹ For the promise is made vnto you, and to your children, and to all that are a farre off, euen as many as the Lord our God shall call.

¹⁴ For the vnbeleeuing husband is sanctified to the wife, and the vnbeleeuing wife is sanctified to the husband, els were your children vncleane: but nowe are they holie.
