⁴⁴ Againe, the kingdom of heauen is like vnto a treasure hid in ye field, which when a man hath found, he hideth it, and for ioy thereof departeth and selleth all that he hath, and buieth that field.

² And cause thine eares to hearken vnto wisdome, and encline thine heart to vnderstanding, ³ (For if thou callest after knowledge, and cryest for vnderstanding: ⁴ If thou seekest her as siluer, and searchest for her as for treasures, ⁵ Then shalt thou vnderstand the feare of the Lord, and finde the knowledge of God.

¹⁶ Howe much better is it to get wisedome then golde? and to get vnderstanding, is more to be desired then siluer.

¹⁶ Wherefore is there a price in the hand of the foole to get wisdome, and he hath none heart?

¹ For the desire thereof hee will separate himselfe to seeke it, and occupie himselfe in all wisdome.

²³ Bye the trueth, but sell it not: likewise wisdome, and instruction, and vnderstanding.

¹ Ho, euery one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and ye that haue no siluer, come, bye and eate: come, I say, bye wine and milke without siluer and without money.

²¹ For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

²⁴ Another parable put hee foorth vnto them, saying, The kingdome of heauen is like vnto a man which sowed good seede in his fielde.

²¹ Iesus sayd vnto him, If thou wilt be perfite, go, sell that thou hast, and giue it to the poore, and thou shalt haue treasure in heauen, and come, and follow me.

²⁷ Then answered Peter, and said to him, Beholde, we haue forsaken all, and followed thee: what therefore shall we haue?

²⁹ And whosoeuer shall forsake houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my Names sake, he shall receiue an hundreth folde more, and shall inherite euerlasting life.

³³ So likewise, whosoeuer hee be of you, that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

²³ But when he heard those things, he was very heauie: for he was marueilous riche. ²⁴ And when Iesus sawe him very sorowfull, he said, With what difficultie shall they that haue riches, enter into the kingdome of God!

⁶ Then he came downe hastily, and receiued him ioyfully. ⁷ And when all they sawe it, they murmured, saying, that hee was gone in to lodge with a sinfull man. ⁸ And Zaccheus stood forth, and said vnto the Lord, Beholde, Lord, the halfe of my goods I giue to the poore: and if I haue taken from any man by forged cauillation, I restore him foure folde.

³⁵ And Iesus saide vnto them, I am that bread of life: he that commeth to me, shall not hunger, and he that beleeueth in me, shall neuer thirst.

⁴⁴ And all that beleeued, were in one place, and had all things common. ⁴⁵ And they sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all me, as euery one had need. ⁴⁶ And they continued dayly with one accord in the Temple, and breaking bread at home, did eate their meate together with gladnesse and singlenesse of heart, ⁴⁷ Praysing God, and had fauour with all the people: and the Lord added to the Church from day to day, such as should be saued.

³² And the multitude of them that beleeued, were of one heart, and of one soule: neither any of them said, that any thing of that which he possessed, was his owne, but they had all thinges common. ³³ And with great power gaue the Apostles witnes of the resurrection of the Lord Iesus: and great grace was vpon them all. ³⁴ Neither was there any among them, that lacked: for as many as were possessours of landes or houses, solde them, and brought the price of the things that were solde, ³⁵ And layde it downe at the Apostles feete, and it was distributed vnto euery man, according as he had neede.

⁴ For whatsoeuer things are written aforetime, are writte for our learning, that we through patience, and comfort of the Scriptures might haue hope.

⁹ But as it is written, The thinges which eye hath not seene, neither eare hath heard, neither came into mans heart, are, which God hath prepared for them that loue him. ¹⁰ But God hath reueiled them vnto vs by his Spirit: for the spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deepe things of God.

⁷ But the thinges that were vantage vnto me, the same I counted losse for Christes sake. ⁸ Yea, doubtlesse I thinke all thinges but losse for the excellent knowledge sake of Christ Iesus my Lord, for whome I haue counted all things losse, and doe iudge them to bee dongue, that I might winne Christ, ⁹ And might bee founde in him, that is, not hauing mine owne righteousnesse, which is of the Lawe, but that which is through the faith of Christ, euen the righteousnesse which is of God through faith,

³ In whom are hid all the treasures of wisedome and knowledge.

³ For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. ⁴ When Christ which is our life, shall appeare, then shall ye also appeare with him in glory.

¹⁶ Let the worde of Christ dwell in you plenteously in all wisdome, teaching and admonishing your owne selues, in Psalmes, and hymnes, and spirituall songs, singing with a grace in your hearts to the Lord.

³⁴ For both ye sorowed with mee for my bonds, and suffered with ioy the spoyling of your goods, knowing in your selues howe that ye haue in heauen a better, and an enduring substance.

²⁴ By faith Moses when he was come to age, refused to be called the sonne of Pharaohs daughter, ²⁵ And chose rather to suffer aduersitie with the people of God, then to enioy the pleasures of sinnes for a season, ²⁶ Esteeming the rebuke of Christ greater riches then the treasures of Egypt: for he had respect vnto the recompence of the reward.

¹⁸ I counsell thee to bye of me gold tried by the fire, that thou maiest bee made rich: and white raiment, that thou maiest be clothed, and that thy filthie nakednesse doe not appeare: and anoynt thine eyes with eye salue, that thou maiest see.
