¹⁹ Whensoeuer any man heareth the woorde of that kingdome, and vnderstandeth it not, that euil one commeth, and catcheth away that which was sowen in his heart: and this is he which hath receiued the seede by the way side.

⁷ The feare of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fooles despise wisedome and instruction.

²⁰ Wisdome cryeth without: she vttereth her voyce in the streetes. ²¹ She calleth in the hye streete, among the prease in the entrings of the gates, and vttereth her wordes in the citie, saying, ²² O ye foolish, howe long will ye loue foolishnes? and the scornefull take their pleasure in scorning, and the fooles hate knowledge?

¹ My sonne, if thou wilt receiue my wordes, and hide my commandements within thee, ² And cause thine eares to hearken vnto wisdome, and encline thine heart to vnderstanding, ³ (For if thou callest after knowledge, and cryest for vnderstanding: ⁴ If thou seekest her as siluer, and searchest for her as for treasures, ⁵ Then shalt thou vnderstand the feare of the Lord, and finde the knowledge of God. ⁶ For the Lord giueth wisdome, out of his mouth commeth knowledge and vnderstanding.

¹⁶ Wherefore is there a price in the hand of the foole to get wisdome, and he hath none heart?

¹ For the desire thereof hee will separate himselfe to seeke it, and occupie himselfe in all wisdome. ² A foole hath no delite in vnderstanding: but that his heart may be discouered.

²³ So Iesus went about all Galile, teaching in their Synagogues, and preaching the Gospel of the kingdome, and healing euery sicknesse and euery disease among the people.

³⁷ But let your communication be Yea, yea: Nay, nay. For whatsoeuer is more then these, commeth of euill.

³⁸ And the field is the worlde, and the good seede are the children of the kingdome, and the tares are the children of that wicked one.

¹⁵ And these are they that receiue the seede by the wayes side, in whome the worde is sowen: but when they haue heard it, Satan commeth immediatly, and taketh away the worde that was sowen in their heartes.

¹¹ The parable is this, The seede is the worde of God. ¹² And they that are beside the way, are they that heare: afterward commeth the deuill, and taketh away the worde out of their hearts, least they should beleeue, and be saued. ¹³ But they that are on the stones, are they which when they haue heard, receiue ye word with ioy: but they haue no rootes: which for a while beleeue, but in the time of tentation goe away. ¹⁴ And that which fell among thornes, are they which haue heard, and after their departure are choked with cares and with riches, and voluptuous liuing, and bring forth no fruite. ¹⁵ But that which fell in good ground, are they which with an honest and good heart heare the worde, and keepe it, and bring forth fruite with patience.

² And hee sent them foorth to preach the kingdome of God, and to cure the sicke.

⁹ And heale the sicke that are there, and say vnto them, The kingdome of God is come neere vnto you.

¹⁹ And this is the condemnation, that that light came into the worlde, and men loued darknesse rather then that light, because their deedes were euill. ²⁰ For euery man that euill doeth, hateth the light, neither commeth to light, least his deedes should be reprooued.

⁴³ Why doe ye not vnderstande my talke? because ye cannot heare my worde.

³⁸ Pilate said vnto him, What is trueth? And when he had saide that, hee went out againe vnto the Iewes, and said vnto them, I finde in him no cause at all.

³² Now when they heard of the resurrection from the dead, some mocked, and other sayde, We will heare thee againe of this thing.

¹⁵ But if it bee a question of woordes, and names, and of your Lawe, looke yee to it your selues: for I will be no iudge of those things.

²⁵ And now behold, I know that henceforth ye all, through whome I haue gone preaching the kingdome of God, shall see my face no more.

²⁵ And as he disputed of righteousnes and temperance, and of the iudgement to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time, and when I haue conuenient time, I will call for thee. ²⁶ Hee hoped also that money shoulde haue bene giuen him of Paul, that he might loose him: wherefore hee sent for him the oftner, and communed with him.

¹⁹ But had certaine questions against him of their owne superstition, and of one Iesus which was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be aliue. ²⁰ And because I doubted of such maner of question, I asked him whether he would goe to Hierusalem, and there be iudged of these things.

³¹ And when they were gone apart, they talked betweene themselues, saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death, nor of bonds. ³² Then sayd Agrippa vnto Festus, This man might haue bene loosed, if hee had not appealed vnto Cesar.

²³ And when they had appointed him a day, there came many vnto him into his lodging, to whom he expounded testifying the kingdome of God, and persuading them those things that concerne Iesus, both out of the Lawe of Moses, and out of the Prophets, from morning to night.

²⁸ For as they regarded not to acknowledge God, euen so God deliuered them vp vnto a reprobate minde, to doe those things which are not conuenient,

⁸ But vnto them that are contentious and disobey the trueth, and obey vnrighteousnesse, shalbe indignation and wrath.

¹⁷ For the kingdome of God, is not meate nor drinke, but righteousnes, and peace, and ioye in the holy Ghost.

² But haue cast from vs ye clokes of shame, and walke not in craftines, neither handle we the worde of God deceitfully: but in declaration of the trueth we approue our selues to euery mans conscience in the sight of God. ³ If our Gospell bee then hid, it is hid to them that are lost.

⁸ Euen vnto me the least of all Saints is this grace giuen, that I should preach among the Gentiles the vnsearchable riches of Christ,

¹² That all they might be damned which beleeued not the trueth, but had pleasure in vnrighteousnes.

¹ Wherefore wee ought diligently to giue heede to the thinges which wee haue heard, lest at any time we runne out.

¹³ I write vnto you, fathers, because yee haue knowen him that is from the beginning. I write vnto you, yong men, because ye haue ouercome that wicked one. I write vnto you, litle children, because ye haue knowen ye Father. ¹⁴ I haue written vnto you, fathers, because ye haue knowen him, that is from the beginning. I haue written vnto you, yong men, because ye are strong, and the worde of God abideth in you, and ye haue ouercome that wicked one.

¹² Not as Cain which was of that wicked one, and slewe his brother: and wherefore slewe he him? because his owne workes were euill, and his brothers good.

¹⁸ We know that whosoeuer is borne of God, sinneth not: but he that is begotten of God, keepeth himselfe, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

²⁰ But we know that that Sone of God is come, and hath giue vs a mind to know him, which is true: and we are in him that is true, that is, in that his Sone Iesus Christ: this same is that very God, and that eternal life.
