⁴ Then his disciples answered him, Whence can a man satisfie these with bread here in the wildernes?

²¹ And Moses saide, Six hundreth thousande footemen are there of the people, among whom I am: and thou saiest, I will giue them flesh, that they may eate a moneth long. ²² Shall the sheepe and the beeues be slaine for them, to finde them? either shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them to suffice them? ²³ And the Lord saide vnto Moses, Is the Lordes hand shortened? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to passe vnto thee, or no.

⁴² Then came a man from Baal-shalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the first fruits, euen twenty loaues of barley, and full eares of corne in the huske. And hee saide, Giue vnto the people, that they may eate. ⁴³ And his seruant answered, How shoulde I set this before an hundreth men? He sayd againe, Giue it vnto the people, that they may eate: for thus sayth the Lord, They shall eate, and there shall remaine. ⁴⁴ So he set it before them, and they did eate, and left ouer, according to the word of the Lord.

² Then a prince, on whose hande the King leaned, answered the man of God, and saide, Though the Lord would make windowes in the heauen, could this thing come to passe? And he said, Beholde, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not eate thereof.

¹⁹ They spake against God also, saying, Can God prepare a table in the wildernesse? ²⁰ Behold, he smote the rocke, that the water gushed out, and the streames ouerflowed: can hee giue bread also? or prepare flesh for his people?

³³ And his disciples saide vnto him, Whence should we get so much bread in the wildernes, as should suffice so great a multitude!

³⁶ Let them depart, that they may goe into the countrey and townes about, and buy them bread: for they haue nothing to eate. ³⁷ But he answered, and said vnto them, Giue yee them to eate. And they said vnto him, Shall we goe, and buy two hundreth peny worth of bread, and giue them to eate?

⁵² For they had not considered the matter of the loaues, because their hearts were hardened.

⁷ Philippe answered him, Two hundreth penie worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that euery one of them may take a litle. ⁸ Then saide vnto him one of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peters brother, ⁹ There is a little boy heere, which hath fiue barlie loaues, and two fishes: but what are they among so many?
