¹⁴ Moreouer, when ye shall see the abomination of desolation (spoken of by Daniel the Prophet) set where it ought not, (let him that readeth, consider it) then let them that be in Iudea, flee into the mountaines,

¹⁰ The enemie hath stretched out his hande vpon al her pleasant things: for she hath seene the heathen enter into her Sanctuarie, whom thou diddest commande, that they shoulde not enter into thy Church.

⁹ Thus saieth the Lord God, No stranger vncircumcised in heart, nor vncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into my Sanctuarie, of any stranger that is among the children of Israel,

¹³ Then I heard one of the Saints speaking, and one of the Saints spake vnto a certaine one, saying, Howe long shall endure the vision of the dayly sacrifice, and the iniquitie of the desolation to treade both the Sanctuarie and the armie vnder foote?

²⁷ And he shall confirme the couenant with many for one weeke: and in the middes of the weeke he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the ouerspreading of the abominations, he shall make it desolate, euen vntill the consummation determined shalbe powred vpon the desolate.

³¹ And armes shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the Sanctuarie of strength, and shall take away the dayly sacrifice, and they shall set vp the abominable desolation.

¹¹ And from the time that the daily sacrifice shalbe take away and the abominable desolatio set vp, there shalbe a thousand, two hundreth and ninetie daies.

⁵¹ Iesus saide vnto them, Vnderstand yee all these things? They saide vnto him, Yea, Lord.

¹⁵ When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the Prophet, set in the holy place (let him that readeth consider it.) ¹⁶ Then let them which be in Iudea, flee into the mountaines. ¹⁷ Let him which is on the house top, not come downe to fetch any thing out of his house. ¹⁸ And he that is in the fielde, let not him returne backe to fetch his clothes. ¹⁹ And woe shalbe to them that are with childe, and to them that giue sucke in those dayes. ²⁰ But pray that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day. ²¹ For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not from the beginning of the worlde to this time, nor shalbe. ²² And except those dayes should be shortened, there should no flesh be saued: but for the elects sake those dayes shalbe shortened. ²³ Then if any shall say vnto you, Loe, here is Christ, or there, beleeue it not. ²⁴ For there shall arise false Christes, and false prophets, and shall shewe great signes and wonders, so that if it were possible, they should deceiue the very elect. ²⁵ Beholde, I haue tolde you before. ²⁶ Wherefore if they shall say vnto you, Beholde, he is in the desert, goe not forth: Beholde, he is in the secret places, beleeue it not. ²⁷ For as the lightning commeth out of the East, and is seene into the West, so shall also the comming of the Sonne of man be. ²⁸ For wheresoeuer a dead carkeis is, thither will the Egles be gathered together.

²⁰ And when ye see Hierusalem besieged with souldiers, then vnderstand that the desolation thereof is neere. ²¹ Then let them which are in Iudea, flee to the mountaines: and let them which are in the middes thereof, depart out: and let not them that are in the countrey, enter therein. ²² For these be the dayes of vengeance, to fulfill all things that are written. ²³ But woe be to them that be with childe, and to them that giue sucke in those dayes: for there shalbe great distresse in this land, and wrath ouer this people. ²⁴ And they shall fall on the edge of the sword, and shalbe led captiue into all nations, and Hierusalem shalbe troden vnder foote of the Gentiles, vntill the time of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

³⁰ And Philip ranne thither, and heard him reade the Prophet Esaias, and said, But vnderstandest thou what thou readest? ³¹ And he saide, Howe can I, except I had a guide? And he desired Philip, that he would come vp and sit with him.

⁷ Moreouer things without life which giue a sounde, whether it be a pipe or an harpe, except they make a distinction in the soundes, how shall it be knowen what is piped or harped? ⁸ And also if the trumpet giue an vncertaine sound, who shall prepare himselfe to battell?

²⁰ Brethren, be not children in vnderstanding, but as concerning maliciousnes be children, but in vnderstanding be of a ripe age.

³ Blessed is he that readeth, and they that heare the wordes of this prophecie, and keepe those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

¹⁸ Here is wisdome. Let him that hath wit, count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man, and his number is sixe hundreth threescore and sixe.
