⁴⁴ Marke these wordes diligently: for it shall come to passe, that the Sonne of man shalbe deliuered into the handes of men.

¹⁴ And Dauid said vnto Gad, I am in a wonderfull strait: let vs fall nowe into the hand of the Lord, (for his mercies are great) and let mee not fall into the hand of man.

⁹ Rise vp, ye women that are at ease: heare my voyce, ye carelesse daughters: hearken to my wordes. ¹⁰ Yee women, that are carelesse, shall be in feare aboue a yeere in dayes: for the vintage shall faile, and the gatherings shall come no more.

²¹ From that time foorth Iesus beganne to shewe vnto his disciples, that he must goe vnto Hierusalem, and suffer many thinges of the Elders, and of the hie Priestes, and Scribes, and be slaine, and be raised againe the thirde day.

²² And they being in Galile, Iesus said vnto them, The Sonne of man shall be deliuered into the handes of men, ²³ And they shall kill him, but the thirde day shall he rise againe: and they were very sorie.

¹⁸ Beholde, wee goe vp to Hierusalem, and the Sonne of man shall bee deliuered vnto the chiefe priestes, and vnto the Scribes, and they shall condemne him to death, ¹⁹ And shall deliuer him to the Gentiles, to mocke, and to scourge, and to crucifie him, but the third day he shall rise againe.

³⁸ But when the husbandmen saw the sonne, they saide among themselues, This is the heire: come, let vs kill him, and let vs take his inheritance. ³⁹ So they tooke him, and cast him out of the vineyarde, and slewe him.

² Ye know that after two dayes is ye Passeouer, and the Sonne of man shalbe deliuered to be crucified.

³¹ Then hee began to teache them that the Sonne of man must suffer many things, and should be reproued of the Elders, and of the hie Priestes, and of the Scribes, and be slaine, and within three dayes rise againe.

³¹ For he taught his disciples, and saide vnto them, The Sonne of man shalbe deliuered into the handes of men, and they shall kill him, but after that he is killed, he shall rise againe the third day.

⁶⁶ And al they that heard them, laid them vp in their hearts, saying, What maner childe shall this be! and the hand of the Lord was with him.

¹⁹ But Mary kept all those sayings, and pondred them in her heart.

⁶ He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake vnto you, when he was yet in Galile, ⁷ Saying, that the sonne of man must be deliuered into the hands of sinfull men, and be crucified, and the third day rise againe.

⁴⁴ And he saide vnto them, These are the wordes, which I spake vnto you while I was yet with you, that all must be fulfilled which are written of me in the Lawe of Moses, and in the Prophets, and in the Psalmes.

¹⁹ Iesus answered, and said vnto them, Destroy this Temple, and in three daies I will raise it vp againe. ²⁰ Then said the Iewes, Fourtie and sixe yeeres was this Temple a building, and wilt thou reare it vp in three daies? ²¹ But he spake of the temple of his bodie. ²² Assoone therefore as he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembred that hee thus sayde vnto them: and they beleeued the Scripture, and the worde which Iesus had saide.

⁴ But these things haue I tolde you, that when the houre shall come, ye might remember, that I tolde you them. And these things said I not vnto you from ye beginning, because I was with you.

¹¹ Iesus answered, Thou couldest haue no power at all against me, except it were giuen thee from aboue: therefore he that deliuered me vnto thee, hath the greater sinne.

²³ Him, I say, being deliuered by the determinate counsell, and foreknowledge of God, after you had taken, with wicked handes you haue crucified and slaine.

¹³ The God of Abraham, and Isaac, and Iacob, the God of our fathers hath glorified his Sonne Iesus, whom ye betrayed, and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had iudged him to be deliuered. ¹⁴ But ye denied the Holy one and the Iust, and desired a murtherer to be giuen you, ¹⁵ And killed the Lord of life, whome God hath raised from the dead, whereof we are witnesses.

²⁷ For doutlesse, against thine holy Sonne Iesus, whome thou haddest anoynted, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel gathered themselues together, ²⁸ To doe whatsoeuer thine hand, and thy counsell had determined before to be done.

³ That no man should be moued with these afflictions: for ye your selues knowe, that we are appointed thereunto. ⁴ For verily when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulations, euen as it came to passe, and ye knowe it.

¹ Wherefore wee ought diligently to giue heede to the thinges which wee haue heard, lest at any time we runne out.

² Looking vnto Iesus the authour and finisher of our faith, who for the ioy that was set before him, endured the crosse, and despised the shame, and is set at the right hand of the throne of God. ³ Consider therefore him that endured such speaking against of sinners, lest ye should be wearied and faint in your mindes. ⁴ Ye haue not yet resisted vnto blood, striuing against sinne. ⁵ And ye haue forgotten the consolation, which speaketh vnto you as vnto children, My sonne, despise not the chastening of the Lord, neither faint when thou art rebuked of him.
