Job 21:7-15

7 Wherefore do the wicked liue, and waxe olde, and grow in wealth? 8 Their seede is established in their sight with them, and their generation before their eyes. 9 Their houses are peaceable without feare, and the rod of God is not vpon them. 10 Their bullocke gendreth, and fayleth not: their cow calueth, and casteth not her calfe. 11 They send forth their children like sheepe, and their sonnes dance. 12 They take the tabret and harpe, and reioyce in the sound of the organs. 13 They spend their dayes in wealth, and suddenly they go downe to the graue. 14 They say also vnto God, Depart from vs: for we desire not the knowledge of thy wayes. 15 Who is the Almightie, that we should serue him? and what profit should we haue, if we should pray vnto him?

Psalms 73:3-12

3 For I feared at the foolish, when I sawe the prosperitie of the wicked. 4 For there are no bandes in their death, but they are lustie and strong. 5 They are not in trouble as other men, neither are they plagued with other men. 6 Therefore pride is as a chayne vnto them, and crueltie couereth them as a garment. 7 Their eyes stande out for fatnesse: they haue more then heart can wish. 8 They are licentious, and speake wickedly of their oppression: they talke presumptuously. 9 They set their mouth against heauen, and their tongue walketh through the earth. 10 Therefore his people turne hither: for waters of a full cup are wrung out to them. 11 And they say, Howe doeth God know it? or is there knowledge in the most High? 12 Lo, these are the wicked, yet prosper they alway, and increase in riches.

Amos 6:1-6

1 Woe to them that are at ease in Zion and trust in the moutaine of Samaria, which were famous at the beginning of the nations: and the house of Israel came to them. 2 Goe you vnto Calneh, and see: and from thence goe you to Hamath the great: then goe downe to Gath of the Philistims: be they better then these kingdomes? or the border of their land greater then your border, 3 Ye that put farre away the euill day, and approch to the seate of iniquitie? 4 They lie vpon beddes of yuorie, and stretch themselues vpon their beddes, and eate the lambes of the flocke, and the calues out of the stall. 5 They sing to the sounde of the viole: they inuent to themselues instruments of musike like Dauid. 6 They drinke wine in bowles, and anoynt themselues with the chiefe ointments, but no man is sory for the affliction of Ioseph.

Luke 16:19-25

The rich man also died, and was buried. 23 And being in hell in torments, he lift vp his eyes, and sawe Abraham a farre off, and Lazarus in his bosome. 24 Then he cried, and saide, Father Abraham, haue mercie on mee, and sende Lazarus that hee may dippe the tip of his finger in water, and coole my tongue: for I am tormented in this flame. 25 But Abraham saide, Sonne, remember that thou in thy life time receiuedst thy pleasures, and likewise Lazarus paines: now therefore is he comforted, and thou art tormented.

Ye haue heaped vp treasure for the last dayes. 4 Behold, the hire of ye labourers, which haue reaped your fieldes (which is of you kept backe by fraude) cryeth, and the cryes of them which haue reaped, are entred into the eares of the Lord of hostes. 5 Ye haue liued in pleasure on the earth, and in wantonnes. Ye haue nourished your heartes, as in a day of slaughter. 6 Ye haue condemned and haue killed the iust, and he hath not resisted you.

Revelation 18:6-8

6 Rewarde her, euen as she hath rewarded you, and giue her double according to her workes: and in the cup that she hath filled to you, fill her ye double. 7 In as much as she glorified her selfe, and liued in pleasure, so much giue ye to her torment and sorow: for she saith in her heart, I sit being a queene, and am no widowe, and shall see no mourning. 8 Therefore shall her plagues come at one day, death, and sorowe, and famine, and she shalbe burnt with fire: for that God which condemneth her, is a strong Lord.
