¹² Then arose Peter, and ran vnto the sepulchre, and looked in, and saw the linnen clothes laide by themselues, and departed wondering in himselfe at that which was come to passe.

³ Peter therefore went forth, and the other disciple, and they came vnto the sepulchre. ⁴ So they ranne both together, but the other disciple did outrunne Peter, and came first to the sepulchre. ⁵ And he stouped downe, and sawe the linnen clothes lying: yet went he not in. ⁶ Then came Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and sawe the linnen clothes lye, ⁷ And the kerchiefe that was vpon his head, not lying with the linnen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by it selfe. ⁸ Then went in also the other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he sawe it, and beleeued. ⁹ For as yet they knewe not the Scripture, That he must rise againe from the dead. ¹⁰ And the disciples went away againe vnto their owne home.
