⁵ He hath builded against me, and compassed me with gall, and labour.

⁸ Hee hath hedged vp my way that I cannot passe, and he hath set darkenesse in my paths.

²¹ For they gaue me gall in my meate, and in my thirst they gaue me vineger to drinke.

¹⁴ Why doe we stay? assemble your selues, and let vs enter into the strong cities, and let vs be quiet there: for the Lord our God hath put vs to silence and giuen vs water with gall to drinke, because we haue sinned against the Lord.
