⁷ Will the Lord absent him selfe for euer? and will he shewe no more fauour? ⁸ Is his mercie cleane gone for euer? doeth his promise faile for euermore? ⁹ Hath God forgotten to be mercifull? hath he shut vp his teder mercies in displeasure? Selah. ¹⁰ And I sayde, This is my death: yet I remembred the yeeres of the right hand of the most High. ¹¹ I remembred the workes of the Lord: certainely I remembred thy wonders of olde.

⁸¹ CAPH. My soule fainteth for thy saluation: yet I waite for thy worde.

⁷ Let Israel waite on the Lord: for with the Lord is mercie, and with him is great redemption.

²⁴ The Lord is my portion, sayth my soule: therefore wil I hope in him. ²⁵ The Lord is good vnto them, that trust in him, and to the soule that seeketh him. ²⁶ It is good both to trust, and to waite for the saluation of the Lord. ²⁷ It is good for a man that he beare the yoke in his youth. ²⁸ He sitteth alone, and keepeth silence, because he hath borne it vpon him. ²⁹ He putteth his mouth in the dust, if there may be hope.

³ For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the last it shall speake, and not lie: though it tarie, waite: for it shall surely come, and shall not stay.
