¹⁸ Hee that speaketh of himselfe, seeketh his owne glorie: but hee that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no vnrighteousnes is in him.

¹⁰ Nowe therefore let mee alone, that my wrath may waxe hote against them, for I wil consume the: but I wil make of thee a mighty people. ¹¹ But Moses praied vnto the Lord his God, and said, O Lord, why doeth thy wrath waxe hote against thy people, which thou hast brought out of the lande of Egypt, with great power and with a mightie hand? ¹² Wherefore shall the Egyptians speake, and say, He hath brought them out maliciously for to slay them in the mountaines, and to consume them from the earth? turne from thy fearce wrath, and change thy minde from this euill towarde thy people. ¹³ Remember Abraham, Izhak, and Israel thy seruants, to whom thou swarest by thine owne selfe, and saydest vnto them, I wil multiply your seede, as the starres of the heauen, and all this land, that I haue spoken of, wil I giue vnto your seede, and they shall inherit it for euer.

²⁹ But Moses saide vnto him, Enuiest thou for my sake? yea, would God that all the Lordes people were Prophets, and that the Lord woulde put his Spirit vpon them.

²⁷ It is not good to eate much hony: so to search their owne glory is not glory.

⁹ After this maner therefore pray ye, Our father which art in heauen, halowed be thy name.

²⁶ And they came vnto Iohn, and saide vnto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Iorden, to whom thou barest witnesse, behold, he baptizeth, and all men come to him. ²⁷ Iohn answered, and saide, A man can receiue nothing, except it be giuen him from heauen. ²⁸ Yee your selues are my witnesses, that I sayde, I am not that Christ, but that I am sent before him. ²⁹ He that hath the bride, is the bridegrome: but the friend of the bridegrome which standeth and heareth him, reioyceth greatly, because of the bridegromes voyce. This my ioy therefore is fulfilled. ³⁰ He must increase, but I must decrease.

⁴¹ I receiue not the prayse of men.

⁴⁹ Iesus answered, I haue not a deuil, but I honour my Father, and ye haue dishonoured me. ⁵⁰ And I seeke not mine owne praise: but there is one that seeketh it, and iudgeth.

⁵⁴ Iesus answered, If I honour my selfe, mine honour is nothing worth: it is my Father that honoureth me, whome ye say, that hee is your God.

⁴ When Iesus heard it, he saide, This sickenes is not vnto death, but for the glorie of God, that the Sonne of God might be glorified thereby.

²⁸ Father, glorifie thy Name. Then came there a voyce from heauen, saying, I haue both glorified it, and will glorifie it againe.

³¹ When hee was gone out, Iesus sayd, Nowe is the Sonne of man glorified, and God is glorified in him. ³² If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorifie him in himselfe, and shall straightway glorifie him.

⁴ I haue glorified thee on the earth: I haue finished the worke which thou gauest me to doe. ⁵ And nowe glorifie me, thou Father, with thine owne selfe, with the glorie which I had with thee before the world was.

³¹ Whether therefore ye eate, or drinke, or whatsoeuer ye doe, doe all to the glory of God. ³² Giue none offence, neither to the Iewes, nor to the Grecians, nor to the Church of God: ³³ Euen as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine owne profite, but the profite of many, that they might be saued.

¹² As many as desire to make a faire shewe in the flesh, they constraine you to be circumcised, onely because they would not suffer persecution for the crosse of Christ. ¹³ For they themselues which are circumcised keepe not the law, but desire to haue you circumcised, that they might reioyce in your flesh. ¹⁴ But God forbid that I should reioyce, but in ye crosse of our Lord Iesus Christ, whereby the world is crucified vnto me, and I vnto ye world.

³ That nothing be done through contention or vaine glory, but that in meekenesse of minde euery man esteeme other better then himselfe. ⁴ Looke not euery man on his owne things, but euery man also on the things of other men. ⁵ Let the same minde be in you that was euen in Christ Iesus, ⁶ Neither sought we prayse of men, neither of you, nor of others, when we might haue bene chargeable, as the Apostles of Christ.

¹¹ If any man speake, let him speake as the wordes of God. If any man minister, let him do it as of the abilitie which God ministreth, that God in al things may be glorified through Iesus Christ, to whome is prayse and dominion for euer, and euer, Amen.
