⁶ I haue declared thy Name vnto the men which thou gauest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gauest them me, and they haue kept thy worde.

¹³ Then Moses said vnto God, Behold, when I shall come vnto the children of Israel, and shall say vnto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me vnto you: if they say vnto me, What is his Name? what shall I say vnto them? ¹⁴ And God answered Moses, I Am That I Am. Also he said, Thus shalt thou say vnto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me vnto you. ¹⁵ And God spake further vnto Moses, Thus shalt thou say vnto the children of Israel, The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Izhak, and the God of Iaakob hath sent me vnto you: this is my Name for euer, and this is my memoriall vnto all ages.

¹⁶ And in deede, for this cause haue I appointed thee, to shewe my power in thee, and to declare my Name throughout all the world.

⁵ And the Lord descended in the cloude, and stoode with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord. ⁶ So the Lord passed before his face, and cried, The Lord, the Lord, strong, mercifull, and gracious, slowe to anger, and abundant in goodnesse and trueth, ⁷ Reseruing mercy for thousands, forgiuing iniquitie, and transgression and sinne, and not making the wicked innocent, visiting the iniquitie of the fathers vpon ye children, and vpon childrens children, vnto the third and fourth generation.

²² I wil declare thy Name vnto my brethren: in the middes of the Congregation will I praise thee, saying,

¹⁷ O God, thou hast taught me from my youth euen vntill nowe: therefore will I tell of thy wonderous workes, ¹⁸ Yea, euen vnto mine olde age and graie head, O God: forsake me not, vntill I haue declared thine arme vnto this generation, and thy power to all them, that shall come. ¹⁹ And thy righteousnes, O God, I wil exalt on high: for thou hast done great thinges: O God, who is like vnto thee!

¹¹ I haue hid thy promise in mine heart, that I might not sinne against thee.

¹ My sonne, if thou wilt receiue my wordes, and hide my commandements within thee, ² And cause thine eares to hearken vnto wisdome, and encline thine heart to vnderstanding, ³ (For if thou callest after knowledge, and cryest for vnderstanding: ⁴ If thou seekest her as siluer, and searchest for her as for treasures, ⁵ Then shalt thou vnderstand the feare of the Lord, and finde the knowledge of God.

¹⁰ When wisdome entreth into thine heart, and knowledge deliteth thy soule,

¹ My sonne, forget not thou my Lawe, but let thine heart keepe my commandements. ² For they shall increase the length of thy dayes and the yeeres of life, and thy prosperitie. ³ Let not mercie and trueth forsake thee: binde them on thy necke, and write them vpon the table of thine heart. ⁴ So shalt thou finde fauour and good vnderstanding in the sight of God and man.

²³ Bye the trueth, but sell it not: likewise wisdome, and instruction, and vnderstanding.

²⁵ At that time Iesus answered, and saide, I giue thee thankes, O Father, Lord of heauen and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and men of vnderstanding, and hast opened them vnto babes. ²⁶ It is so, O Father, because thy good pleasure was such. ²⁷ All things are giuen vnto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Sonne, but ye Father: neither knoweth any man ye Father, but the Sonne, and he to whom ye Sonne will reueile him.

²¹ That same houre reioyced Iesus in the spirit, and said, I confesse vnto thee, Father, Lord of heauen and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and vnderstanding, and hast reueiled them to babes: euen so, Father, because it so pleased thee. ²² All things are giuen me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Sonne is, but the Father: neither who the Father is, saue the Sonne, and he to whom the Sonne will reueile him.

¹⁸ No man hath seene God at any time: that onely begotten Sonne, which is in the bosome of the Father, he hath declared him.

³⁷ All that the Father giueth me, shall come to mee: and him that commeth to me, I cast not away.

³⁹ And this is the Fathers will which hath sent mee, that of all which hee hath giuen mee, I should lose nothing, but shoulde raise it vp againe at the last day.

³¹ Then saide Iesus to the Iewes which beleeued in him, If ye continue in my worde, ye are verely my disciples, ³² And shall know the trueth, and the trueth shall make you free.

²⁷ My sheepe heare my voyce, and I knowe them, and they follow me, ²⁸ And I giue vnto them eternall life, and they shall neuer perish, neither shall any plucke them out of mine hand. ²⁹ My Father which gaue them me, is greater then all, and none is able to take them out of my Fathers hand.

²⁸ Father, glorifie thy Name. Then came there a voyce from heauen, saying, I haue both glorified it, and will glorifie it againe.

²¹ He that hath my commandements, and keepeth them, is he that loueth me: and he that loueth me, shall be loued of my Father: and I will loue him, and wil shewe mine owne selfe to him. ²² Iudas sayd vnto him (not Iscariot) Lord, what is the cause that thou wilt shewe thy selfe vnto vs, and not vnto the world? ²³ Iesus answered, and sayd vnto him, If any man loue me, he will keepe my worde, and my Father will loue him, and we wil come vnto him, and wil dwell with him. ²⁴ He that loueth me not, keepeth not my wordes, and the worde which ye heare, is not mine, but the Fathers which sent me.

³ Nowe are ye cleane through the worde, which I haue spoken vnto you.

⁷ If ye abide in me, and my wordes abide in you, aske what ye wil, and it shalbe done to you.

¹⁹ If ye were of the worlde, the world woulde loue his owne: but because ye are not of ye world, but I haue chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

² As thou hast giuen him power ouer all flesh, that he shoulde giue eternall life to all them that thou hast giuen him.

⁹ I pray for them: I pray not for the worlde, but for them which thou hast giuen me: for they are thine. ¹⁰ And al mine are thine, and thine are mine, and I am glorified in them. ¹¹ And nowe am I no more in the world, but these are in the worlde, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keepe them in thy Name, euen them whome thou hast giuen mee, that they may bee one, as we are.

¹⁴ I haue giuen them thy word, and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, as I am not of the world.

¹⁶ They are not of the worlde, as I am not of the world.

²⁴ Father, I will that they which thou hast giuen me, be with me euen where I am, that they may beholde that my glorie, which thou hast giuen mee: for thou louedst me before the foundation of the world.

²⁶ And I haue declared vnto the thy Name, and will declare it, that the loue wherewith thou hast loued me, may be in them, and I in them.

⁹ This was that the worde might be fulfilled which hee spake, Of them which thou gauest me, haue I lost none.

⁴⁸ And when the Gentiles heard it, they were glad, and glorified the woorde of the Lord: and as many as were ordeined vnto eternall life, beleeued.

²⁸ Also we knowe that all thinges worke together for the best vnto them that loue God, euen to them that are called of his purpose. ²⁹ For those which hee knewe before, he also predestinate to bee made like to the image of his Sonne, that hee might be the first borne among many brethren. ³⁰ Moreouer whom he predestinate, them also he called, and whom he called, them also he iustified, and whom he iustified, them he also glorified.

² God hath not cast away his people which he knew before. Know ye not what the Scripture sayth of Elias, howe hee communeth with God against Israel, saying,

⁶ For God that commanded the light to shine out of darknesse, is he which hath shined in our hearts, to giue the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Iesus Christ.

⁴ As hee hath chosen vs in him, before the foundation of the worlde, that we should be holy, and without blame before him in loue: ⁵ Who hath predestinate vs, to be adopted through Iesus Christ in him selfe, according to the good pleasure of his will, ⁶ To the prayse of the glory of his grace, wherewith he hath made vs freely accepted in his beloued, ⁷ By whom we haue redemption through his blood, euen the forgiuenes of sinnes, according to his rich grace: ⁸ Whereby he hath bene aboundant toward vs in all wisedome and vnderstanding, ⁹ And hath opened vnto vs the mysterie of his will according to his good pleasure, which he had purposed in him, ¹⁰ That in the dispensation of the fulnesse of the times, he might gather together in one all things, both which are in heauen, and which are in earth, euen in Christ: ¹¹ In whom also we are chosen when we were predestinate according to ye purpose of him, which worketh all things after the counsell of his owne will,

¹⁶ Let the worde of Christ dwell in you plenteously in all wisdome, teaching and admonishing your owne selues, in Psalmes, and hymnes, and spirituall songs, singing with a grace in your hearts to the Lord.

¹³ But we ought to giue thankes alway to God for you, brethren beloued of the Lord, because that God hath from the beginning chosen you to saluation, through sanctification of the Spirit, and the faith of trueth, ¹⁴ Whereunto he called you by our Gospel, to obtaine the glory of our Lord Iesus Christ.

¹³ Keepe the true paterne of the wholesome wordes, which thou hast heard of me in faith and loue which is in Christ Iesus.

¹² Saying, I will declare thy Name vnto my brethren: in the middes of the Church will I sing praises to thee.

⁶ But Christ is as the Sonne, ouer his owne house, whose house we are, if we holde fast that confidence and that reioycing of that hope vnto the ende.

¹ PETER an Apostle of IESVS CHRIST, to the strangers that dwell here and there throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia,

²⁰ But we know that that Sone of God is come, and hath giue vs a mind to know him, which is true: and we are in him that is true, that is, in that his Sone Iesus Christ: this same is that very God, and that eternal life.

¹³ I knowe thy workes and where thou dwellest, euen where Satans throne is, and thou keepest my Name, and hast not denied my faith, euen in those dayes when Antipas my faithfull martyr was slaine among you, where Satan dwelleth.

⁸ I knowe thy workes: beholde, I haue set before thee an open doore, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a litle strength and hast kept my worde, and hast not denied my Name.
