¹² Though it were in greene and not cutte downe, yet shall it wither before any other herbe.

⁶ They shalbe as the grasse on the house tops, which withereth afore it commeth forth. ⁷ Whereof the mower filleth not his hand, neither the glainer his lap:

⁶ For he shall be like the heath in the wildernesse, and shall not see when any good commeth, but shall inhabite the parched places in the wildernesse, in a salt land, and not inhabited.

²⁰ And hee that receiued seede in the stonie grounde, is he which heareth the woorde, and incontinently with ioy receiueth it,

¹⁰ Againe hee that is rich, in that hee is made lowe: for as the flower of the grasse, shall he vanish away. ¹¹ For as when the sunne riseth with heate, then the grasse withereth, and his flower falleth away, and the goodly shape of it perisheth: euen so shall the rich man wither away in all his waies.

²⁴ For all flesh is as grasse, and all the glorie of man is as the flower of grasse. The grasse withereth, and the flower falleth away.
