²⁶ To cause it to raine on the earth where no man is, and in the wildernes where there is no man?

²⁷ When he restraineth the droppes of water, the rayne powreth down by the vapour thereof,

¹⁰ He sendeth the springs into the valleis, which runne betweene the mountaines. ¹¹ They shall giue drinke to all the beasts of the fielde, and the wilde asses shall quench their thirst. ¹² By these springs shall the foules of the heauen dwell, and sing among the branches. ¹³ He watereth the mountaines from his chambers, and the earth is filled with the fruite of thy workes. ¹⁴ He causeth grasse to growe for the cattell, and herbe for the vse of man, that he may bring forth bread out of the earth,

³⁵ Againe hee turneth the wildernesse into pooles of water, and the drie lande into water springs.

⁸ Which couereth the heauen with cloudes, and prepareth raine for the earth, and maketh the grasse to growe vpon the mountaines: ⁹ Which giueth to beasts their foode, and to the yong rauens that crie.

¹ The desert and the wildernes shall reioyce: and the waste ground shalbe glad and florish as the rose. ² It shall florish abundantly and shall greatly reioyce also and ioye: the glory of Lebanon shalbe giuen vnto it: the beautie of Carmel, and of Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellencie of our God.

¹⁸ I will open riuers in the toppes of the hils, and fountaines in the middes of the valleis: I will make the wildernesse as a poole of water, and the waste land as springs of water. ¹⁹ I will set in the wildernesse the cedar, the shittah tree, and the mirre tree, and the pine tree, and I will set in the wildernesse the firre tree, the elme and the boxe tree together.

¹⁹ Behold, I do a new thing: now shall it come foorth: shall you not knowe it? I wil euen make a way in the desert, and floods in the wildernesse. ²⁰ The wilde beastes shall honour mee, the dragons and the ostriches, because I gaue water in the desert, and floods in the wildernesse to giue drinke to my people, euen to mine elect.

²² Are there any among the vanities of the Gentiles, that can giue raine? or can the heauens giue showres? is it not thou, O Lord our God? therefore we will waite vpon thee: for thou hast made all these things.

⁷ For the earth which drinketh in the raine that commeth oft vpon it, and bringeth foorth herbes meete for them by whome it is dressed, receiueth blessing of God. ⁸ But that which beareth thornes and briars, is reproued, and is neere vnto cursing, whose end is to be burned.
