¹⁹ Tell vs what we shall say vnto him: for we can not dispose our matter because of darknes.

³ But I haue vnderstanding aswel as you, and am not inferior vnto you: yea, who knoweth not such things?

³ But I will speake to the Almightie, and I desire to dispute with God.

⁶ Nowe heare my disputation, and giue eare to the arguments of my lips.

¹⁴ Loe, these are part of his wayes: but how litle a portion heare we of him? and who can vnderstand his fearefull power?

²⁰ Whence then commeth wisedome? and where is the place of vnderstanding, ²¹ Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all the liuing, and is hid from the foules of the heauen?

² Who is this that darkeneth the counsell by wordes without knowledge?

³ Who is hee that hideth counsell without knowledge? therefore haue I spoken that I vnderstood not, euen things too wonderfull for me, and which I knew not.

¹⁶ Then thought I to know this, but it was too painefull for me, ¹⁷ Vntill I went into the Sanctuarie of God: then vnderstoode I their ende.

²² So foolish was I and ignorant: I was a beast before thee.

⁶ Thy knowledge is too wonderfull for mee: it is so high that I cannot attaine vnto it.

² Surely I am more foolish then any man, and haue not the vnderstanding of a man in me. ³ For I haue not learned wisedome, nor atteined to the knowledge of holy things. ⁴ Who hath ascended vp to heauen, and descended? Who hath gathered the winde in his fist? Who hath bound the waters in a garment? Who hath established all the endes of the world? What is his name, and what is his sonnes name, if thou canst tell?

¹² For nowe we see through a glasse darkely: but then shall wee see face to face. Nowe I know in part: but then shall I know euen as I am knowen.

² Dearely beloued, nowe are we the sonnes of God, but yet it is not made manifest what we shall be: and we know that when he shalbe made manifest, we shalbe like him: for we shall see him as he is.
