¹³ Man knoweth not the price thereof: for it is not found in the land of the liuing.

¹⁵ Golde shall not be giuen for it, neyther shall siluer be weighed for the price thereof. ¹⁶ It shall not be valued with the wedge of golde of Ophir, nor with the precious onix, nor the saphir. ¹⁷ The golde nor the chrystall shall be equall vnto it, nor the exchange shalbe for plate of fine golde. ¹⁸ No mention shall be made of coral, nor of the gabish: for wisedome is more precious then pearles. ¹⁹ The Topaz of Ethiopia shall not be equall vnto it, neither shall it be valued with the wedge of pure gold.

²¹ Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all the liuing, and is hid from the foules of the heauen? ²² Destruction and death say, We haue heard the fame thereof with our eares.

¹⁰ And more to be desired then golde, yea, then much fine golde: sweeter also then honie and the honie combe.

⁵ So shall God destroy thee for euer: he shall take thee and plucke thee out of thy tabernacle, and roote thee out of ye land of the liuing. Selah.

⁷² The Lawe of thy mouth is better vnto me, then thousands of golde and siluer.

¹⁴ For the marchandise thereof is better then the marchandise of siluer, and the gaine thereof is better then golde. ¹⁵ It is more precious then pearles: and all things that thou canst desire, are not to be compared vnto her.

¹¹ For wisdome is better then precious stones: and all pleasures are not to be compared vnto her.

¹⁸ Riches and honour are with me: euen durable riches and righteousnesse. ¹⁹ My fruite is better then golde, euen then fine golde, and my reuenues better then fine siluer.

¹⁶ Howe much better is it to get wisedome then golde? and to get vnderstanding, is more to be desired then siluer.

²³ Bye the trueth, but sell it not: likewise wisdome, and instruction, and vnderstanding.

¹⁶ When I applied mine heart to knowe wisedome, and to behold the busines that is done on earth, that neither day nor night the eyes of man take sleepe, ¹⁷ Then I behelde the whole worke of God, that man cannot finde out ye worke that is wrought vnder the sunne: for the which man laboureth to seeke it, and cannot finde it: yea, and though the wise man thinke to knowe it, he cannot finde it.

¹¹ I said, I shall not see the Lord, euen the Lord in the land of the liuing: I shall see man no more among the inhabitants of the world.

⁸ Hee was taken out from prison, and from iudgement: and who shall declare his age? for he was cut out of the lande of the liuing: for the transgression of my people was he plagued.

⁴⁴ Againe, the kingdom of heauen is like vnto a treasure hid in ye field, which when a man hath found, he hideth it, and for ioy thereof departeth and selleth all that he hath, and buieth that field. ⁴⁵ Againe, the kingdome of heauen is like to a marchant man, that seeketh good pearles, ⁴⁶ Who hauing found a pearle of great price, went and solde all that he had, and bought it.
