³ Whome counsellest thou? him that hath no wisedome? thou shewest right well as the thing is.

¹³ Is it not so, that there is in me no helpe? and that strength is taken from me?

³ But I haue vnderstanding aswel as you, and am not inferior vnto you: yea, who knoweth not such things?

⁵ Oh, that you woulde holde your tongue, that it might be imputed to you for wisedome!

⁸ Hast thou heard the secret counsell of God, and doest thou restraine wisedome to thee? ⁹ What knowest thou that we knowe not? and vnderstandest that is not in vs? ¹⁰ With vs are both auncient and very aged men, farre older then thy father.

¹⁰ All you therefore turne you, and come nowe, and I shall not finde one wise among you.

¹¹ Behold, I did waite vpon your wordes, and hearkened vnto your knowledge, whiles you sought out reasons. ¹² Yea, when I had considered you, lo, there was none of you that reproued Iob, nor answered his wordes: ¹³ Lest ye should say, We haue found wisedome: for God hath cast him downe, and no man.

³ My words are in the vprightnesse of mine heart, and my lippes shall speake pure knowledge.

³³ If thou hast not, heare me: holde thy tongue, and I will teach thee wisedome.

² Who is this that darkeneth the counsell by wordes without knowledge?

¹ To him that excelleth. A Psalme committed to the sonnes of Korah. Heare this, all ye people: giue eare, all ye that dwell in the world, ² As well lowe as hie, both rich and poore. ³ My mouth shall speake of wisdome, and the meditation of mine heart is of knowledge. ⁴ I will incline mine eare to a parable, and vtter my graue matter vpon the harpe.

¹⁵ My mouth shall daily rehearse thy righteousnesse, and thy saluation: for I knowe not the nomber. ¹⁶ I will goe forwarde in the strength of the Lord God, and will make mention of thy righteousnesse, euen of thine onely. ¹⁷ O God, thou hast taught me from my youth euen vntill nowe: therefore will I tell of thy wonderous workes, ¹⁸ Yea, euen vnto mine olde age and graie head, O God: forsake me not, vntill I haue declared thine arme vnto this generation, and thy power to all them, that shall come.

⁶ Giue eare, for I will speake of excellent things, and the opening of my lippes, shall teache things that be right. ⁷ For my mouth shall speake the trueth, and my lippes abhorre wickednesse. ⁸ All the wordes of my mouth are righteous: there is no lewdenes, nor frowardnesse in them. ⁹ They are all plaine to him that will vnderstande, and streight to them that woulde finde knowledge.

²⁰ And how I kept backe nothing that was profitable, but haue shewed you, and taught you openly and throughout euery house,

²⁷ For I haue kept nothing backe, but haue shewed you all the counsell of God.
