¹⁹ As the water breaketh the stones, when thou ouerflowest the things which growe in the dust of ye earth: so thou destroyest ye hope of man.

¹⁷ And I, beholde, I will bring a flood of waters vpon the earth to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life vnder the heauen: all that is in the earth shall perish.

²¹ Then all flesh perished that moued vpon the earth, both foule and cattell and beast, and euery thing that creepeth and moueth vpon the earth, and euery man. ²² Euery thing in whose nostrels the spirit of life did breathe, whatsoeuer they were in the drie land, they died. ²³ So he destroyed euery thing that was vpon the earth, from man to beast, to ye creeping thing, and to the foule of the heauen: they were euen destroyed from the earth. ⁶ My dayes are swifter then a weauers shittle, and they are spent without hope.

¹⁰ He hath destroyed mee on euery side and I am gone: and he hath remoued mine hope like a tree.

⁸ For what hope hath the hypocrite when he hath heaped vp riches, if God take away his soule?

⁶ And in my prosperitie I sayde, I shall neuer be moued. ⁷ For thou Lord of thy goodnes hadest made my mountaine to stande strong: but thou didest hide thy face, and I was troubled.

¹¹ Then he sayd vnto me, Sonne of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is gone, and we are cleane cut off.

¹⁹ And I wil say to my soule, Soule, thou hast much goods laide vp for many yeeres: liue at ease, eate, drinke and take thy pastime. ²⁰ But God said vnto him, O foole, this night wil they fetch away thy soule from thee: then whose shall those things be which thou hast prouided?
