²⁵ Yet your iniquities haue turned away these things, and your sinnes haue hindred good things from you.

²³ And thine heauen that is ouer thine head, shall be brasse, and the earth that is vnder thee, yron. ²⁴ The Lord shall giue thee for the rayne of thy land, dust and ashes: euen from heauen shall it come downe vpon thee, vntil thou be destroyed.

¹⁷ Fooles by reason of their transgression, and because of their iniquities are afflicted.

³⁴ And a fruitfull land into barrennes for the wickednes of them that dwell therein.

² But your iniquities haue separated betweene you and your God, and your sinnes haue hidde his face from you, that he will not heare.

¹⁷ Hast not thou procured this vnto thy selfe, because thou hast forsaken the Lord thy God, when he led thee by the way? ¹⁸ And what hast thou now to do in the way of Egypt? to drinke the water of Nilus? or what makest thou in the way of Asshur? to drinke the water of the Riuer? ¹⁹ Thine owne wickednes shall correct thee, and thy turnings backe shall reprooue thee: know therefore and beholde, that it is an euil thing, and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the Lord thy God, and that my feare is not in thee, sayeth the Lord God of hostes.

³ Therefore the showres haue beene restrained, and the latter raine came not, and thou haddest a whores forehead: thou wouldest not bee ashamed.

³⁹ Wherefore then is the liuing man sorowfull? man suffreth for his sinne.

²² Thy punishment is accomplished, O daughter Zion: he will no more carie thee away into captiuitie, but he will visite thine iniquitie, O daughter Edom, he wil discouer thy sinnes.
