⁵ I haue made the earth, the man, and the beast that are vpon the groud, by my great power, and by my outstreched arme, and haue giuen it vnto whom it pleased me.

²⁹ And God said, Beholde, I haue giuen vnto you euery herbe bearing seede, which is vpon al the earth, and euery tree, wherein is the fruite of a tree bearing seede: that shall be to you for meate. ³⁰ Likewise to euery beast of the earth, and to euery foule of the heauen, and to euery thing that moueth vpon the earth, which hath life in it selfe, euery greene herbe shall be for meate. and it was so.

² Also the feare of you, and the dread of you shalbe vpon euery beast of the earth, and vpon euery foule of the heauen, vpon all that moueth on the earth, and vpon all the fishes of the sea: into your hand are they deliuered. ³ Euery thing that moueth and liueth, shall be meate for you: as the greene herbe, haue I giuen you all things.

⁶ Who so sheadeth mans blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God hath he made man.

¹¹ For in sixe dayes the Lord made the heauen and the earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seuenth day: therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.

⁷ For the Lord thy God hath blessed thee in all the workes of thine hand: he knoweth thy walking through this great wildernes, and the Lord thy God hath bene with thee this fourtie yeere, and thou hast lacked nothing.

⁹ Then the Lord sayd vnto me, Thou shalt not vexe Moab, neither prouoke them to battel: for I wil not giue thee of their land for a possession, because I haue giuen Ar vnto the children of Lot for a possession.

¹⁹ And thou shalt come neere ouer against the children of Ammon: but shalt not lay siege vnto them, nor moue warre against them: for I will not giue thee of the land of the children of Ammon any possession: for I haue giuen it vnto the children of Lot for a possession.

²¹ A people that was great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims: but the Lord destroyed them before them, and they succeeded them in their inheritance, and dwelt in their stead:

¹⁷ The likenes of any beast that is on earth, or the likenesse of any fethered foule that flieth in the aire:

²⁵ When thou shalt beget children and childrens children, and shalt haue remained long in the land, if ye corrupt your selues, and make any grauen image, or likenes of any thing, and worke euill in the sight of the Lord thy God, to prouoke him to anger,

³² For inquire now of the dayes that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man vpon the earth, and aske from the one ende of heauen vnto the other, if there came to passe such a great thing as this, or whether any such like thing hath bene heard.

³⁵ Vnto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest knowe, that the Lord hee is God, and that there is none but he alone.

¹⁶ Honour thy father and thy mother, as the Lord thy God hath comanded thee, that thy dayes may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee vpon the land, which the Lord thy God giueth thee.

²⁹ Yet they are thy people, and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest out by thy mightie power, and by thy stretched out arme.

⁸ When the most hie God deuided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sonnes of Adam, he appoynted the borders of the people, according to the nomber of the children of Israel.

² Moses my seruant is dead: nowe therefore arise, go ouer this Iorden, thou, and all this people, vnto the lande which I giue them, that is, to ye children of Israel. ³ Euery place that the sole of your foote shall treade vpon, haue I giuen you, as I said vnto Moses.

⁵ The dead things are formed vnder the waters, and neere vnto them. ⁶ The graue is naked before him, and there is no couering for destruction. ⁷ He stretcheth out the North ouer the emptie place, and hangeth the earth vpon nothing. ⁸ He bindeth the waters in his cloudes, and the cloude is not broken vnder them. ⁹ He holdeth backe the face of his throne: and spreadeth his cloude vpon it. ¹⁰ He hath set bounds about the waters, vntil the day and night come to an ende. ¹¹ The pillars of heauen tremble and quake at his reproofe. ¹² The sea is calme by his power, and by his vnderstanding he smiteth the pride thereof. ¹³ His Spirite hath garnished the heauens, and his hand hath formed the crooked serpent. ¹⁴ Loe, these are part of his wayes: but how litle a portion heare we of him? and who can vnderstand his fearefull power?

⁴ Where wast thou when I layd the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast vnderstanding, ⁵ Who hath layde the measures thereof, if thou knowest, or who hath stretched the line ouer it: ⁶ Whereupon are the foundations thereof set: or who layed the corner stone thereof: ⁷ When the starres of the morning praysed me together, and all the children of God reioyced: ⁸ Or who hath shut vp the Sea with doores, when it yssued and came foorth as out of the wombe: ⁹ When I made the cloudes as a couering thereof, and darkenesse as the swadeling bands thereof: ¹⁰ When I stablished my commandement vpon it, and set barres and doores, ¹¹ And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no farther, and here shall it stay thy proude waues. ¹² Hast thou commanded the morning since thy dayes? hast thou caused the morning to knowe his place, ¹³ That it might take hold of the corners of the earth, and that the wicked might be shaken out of it? ¹⁴ It is turned as clay to facion, and all stand vp as a garment. ¹⁵ And from the wicked their light shall be taken away, and the hie arme shalbe broken. ¹⁶ Hast thou entred into the bottomes of the sea? or hast thou walked to seeke out the depth? ¹⁷ Haue the gates of death bene opened vnto thee? or hast thou seene the gates of the shadowe of death? ¹⁸ Hast thou perceiued the breadth of the earth? tell if thou knowest all this. ¹⁹ Where is the way where light dwelleth? and where is the place of darkenesse, ²⁰ That thou shouldest receiue it in the boundes thereof, and that thou shouldest knowe the paths to the house thereof? ²¹ Knewest thou it, because thou wast then borne, and because the nomber of thy dayes is great? ²² Hast thou entred into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seene the treasures of ye haile, ²³ Which I haue hid against the time of trouble, against the day of warre and battell? ²⁴ By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the East winde vpon the earth? ²⁵ Who hath deuided the spowtes for the raine? or the way for the lightning of ye thunders, ²⁶ To cause it to raine on the earth where no man is, and in the wildernes where there is no man? ²⁷ To fulfil the wilde and waste place, and to cause the bud of the herbe to spring forth? ²⁸ Who is the father of the rayne? or who hath begotten the droppes of the dewe? ²⁹ Out of whose wombe came the yee? who hath ingendred the frost of the heauen? ³⁰ The waters are hid as with a stone: and the face of the depth is frosen. ³¹ Canst thou restraine the sweete influences of the Pleiades? or loose the bandes of Orion? ³² Canst thou bring foorth Mazzaroth in their time? canst thou also guide Arcturus with his sonnes? ³³ Knowest thou the course of heauen, or canst thou set the rule thereof in the earth? ³⁴ Canst thou lift vp thy voice to the cloudes that the aboundance of water may couer thee? ³⁵ Canst thou sende the lightenings that they may walke, and say vnto thee, Loe, heere we are? ³⁶ Who hath put wisedome in the reines? or who hath giuen the heart vnderstanding? ³⁷ Who can nomber cloudes by wisedome? or who can cause to cease the bottels of heaue, ³⁸ When the earth groweth into hardnesse, and the clottes are fast together? ^{39 40 41}

²⁵ Thou hast aforetime layde the foundation of the earth, and the heauens are the worke of thine hands.

¹⁵ Ye are blessed of the Lord, which made the heauen and the earth. ¹⁶ The heauens, euen the heauens are the Lordes: but he hath giuen the earth to the sonnes of men.

¹⁰ He smote many nations, and slew mightie Kings: ¹¹ As Sihon King of the Amorites, and Og King of Bashan, and all the kingdomes of Canaan: ¹² And gaue their lande for an inheritance, euen an inheritance vnto Israel his people.

⁵ Which by his wisedome made the heauens: for his mercie endureth for euer: ⁶ Which hath stretched out the earth vpon the waters: for his mercie endureth for euer: ⁷ Which made great lightes: for his mercie endureth for euer: ⁸ As the sunne to rule the day: for his mercie endureth for euer: ⁹ The moone and the starres to gouerne the night: for his mercie endureth for euer:

⁵ Blessed is he, that hath the God of Iaakob for his helpe, whose hope is in the Lord his God. ⁶ Which made heauen and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth his fidelitie for euer:

² Prayse ye him, all ye his Angels: praise him, all his armie. ³ Prayse ye him, sunne and moone: prayse ye him all bright starres. ⁴ Prayse ye him, heauens of heauens, and waters, that be aboue the heauens. ⁵ Let them prayse the Name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created.

²¹ Know ye nothing? haue ye not heard it? hath it not bene tolde you from the beginning? haue ye not vnderstand it by the foundation of the earth? ²² He sitteth vpon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grashoppers, hee stretcheth out ye heauens, as a curtaine, and spreadeth them out, as a tent to dwell in. ²³ He bringeth the princes to nothing, and maketh the iudges of the earth, as vanitie, ²⁴ As though they were not plated, as though they were not sowen, as though their stocke tooke no roote in the earth: for he did euen blow vpon them, and they withered, and the whirlewinde will take them away as stubble. ²⁵ To whom nowe will ye liken me, that I should be like him, saith the Holy one? ²⁶ Lift vp your eyes on hie, and beholde who hath created these things, and bringeth out their armies by nomber, and calleth them all by names? by the greatnesse of his power and mightie strength nothing faileth.

⁵ Thus sayeth God the Lord (he that created the heauens and spred them abroad: he that stretched foorth the earth, and the buddes thereof: he that giueth breath vnto the people vpon it, and spirit to them that walke therein)

²⁴ Thus sayeth the Lord thy redeemer and he that formed thee from the wombe, I am the Lord, that made all things, that spred out the heauens alone, and stretched out the earth by my selfe.

¹² I haue made the earth, and created man vpon it: I, whose hands haue spred out the heauens, I haue euen commanded all their armie.

¹³ Surely mine hand hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heaues: when I cal them, they stand vp together.

¹³ And forgettest the Lord thy maker, that hath spred out the heauens, and layde the foundations of the earth? and hast feared continually all the day, because of the rage of the oppressour, which is readie to destroy? Where is now the rage of the oppressour?

¹¹ (Thus shall you say vnto them, The gods that haue not made the heauens and the earth, shall perish from the earth, and from vnder these heauens) ¹² He hath made the earth by his power, and established the worlde by his wisedome, and hath stretched out the heauen by his discretion.

¹⁷ Ah Lord God, beholde, thou hast made the heauen and the earth by thy great power, and by thy stretched out arme, and there is nothing hard vnto thee.

¹⁵ And saying, O men, why doe yee these things? We are euen men subiect to the like passions that yee be, and preache vnto you, that yee shoulde turne from these vaine things vnto the liuing God, which made heauen and earth, and the sea, and all things that in them are:

²⁴ God that made the world, and all things that are therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaue and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands,

¹⁶ For by him were all things created, which are in heauen, and which are in earth, thinges visible and inuisible: whether they be Thrones or Dominions, or Principalities, or Powers, all things were created by him, and for him,

² Whom he hath made heire of al things, by whome also he made the worldes,

¹⁰ And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast established the earth, and the heauens are the workes of thine handes. ¹¹ They shall perish, but thou doest remaine: and they all shall waxe olde as doeth a garment.

¹¹ Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receiue glory and honour, and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy wils sake they are, and haue beene created.
