³ And on the morning, Pashur brought Ieremiah out of the stockes. Then said Ieremiah vnto him, The Lord hath not called thy name Pashur, but Magor-missabib.

⁵ Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shalbe Abraham: for a father of many nations haue I made thee.

¹⁵ Afterward God said vnto Abraham, Sarai thy wife shalt thou not call Sarai, but Sarah shalbe her name.

²⁸ Then said he, Thy name shalbe called Iaakob no more, but Israel: because thou hast had power with God, thou shalt also preuaile with men.

¹³ For I haue heard the rayling of great men: feare was on euery side, while they conspired together against mee, and consulted to take my life.

³ After, I came vnto the Prophetesse, which conceiued, and bare a sonne. Then sayd the Lord to me, Call his name, Mahershalalhash-baz.

²⁵ Goe not foorth into the fielde, nor walke by the way: for the sword of the enemie and feare is on euery side.

³² Therefore beholde, the dayes come, sayeth the Lord, that it shall no more be called Topheth, nor the valley of Ben-Hinnom, but the valley of slaughter: for they shall burie in Topheth til there be no place.

² And goe forth vnto the valley of Ben-hinnom, which is by the entrie of the East gate: and thou shalt preache there the wordes, that I shall tell thee,

⁶ Therefore behold, the dayes come, sayth the Lord, that this place shall no more be called Topheth, nor ye valley of Ben-hinnom, but the valley of slaughter.

¹⁰ For I had heard the railing of many, and feare on euery side. Declare, said they, and wee wil declare it: all my familiars watched for mine halting, saying, It may be that he is deceiued: so we shall preuaile against him, and we shall execute our vengeance vpon him.

²⁹ And Zephaniah the Priest red this letter in the eares of Ieremiah the Prophet.

⁵ Wherefore haue I seene them afraid, and driuen backe? for their mighty men are smitten, and are fled away, and looke not backe: for feare was rounde about, sayeth the Lord.

²² Thou hast called as in a solemne daye my terrours rounde about, so that in the day of the Lordes wrath none escaped nor remained: those that I haue nourished and brought vp, hath mine enemie consumed.

⁴ And the Lord said vnto him, Cal his name Izreel: for yet a litle, and I will visite the blood of Izreel vpon the house of Iehu, and will cause to cease the kingdome of the house of Israel. ⁵ And at that day will I also breake the bowe of Israel in the valley of Izreel. ⁶ She conceiued yet againe, and bare a daughter, and God saide vnto him, Call her name Lo-ruhamah: for I will no more haue pitie vpon the house of Israel: but I wil vtterly take them away. ⁷ Yet I will haue mercie vpon the house of Iudah, and wil saue them by the Lord their God, and wil not saue them by bow, nor by sword nor by battell, by horses, nor by horsemen. ⁸ Nowe when she had wained Lo-ruhamah, shee conceiued, and bare a sonne. ⁹ Then saide God, Call his name Lo-ammi: for yee are not my people: therefore will I not be yours.

⁵ And it came to passe on the morow, that their rulers, and Elders, and Scribes, were gathered together at Hierusalem, ⁶ And Annas the chiefe Priest, and Caiaphas, and Iohn, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the hie Priestes. ⁷ And whe they had set them before them, they asked, By what power, or in what Name haue ye done this?

³⁰ And brought them out, and said, Syrs, what must I doe to be saued?

³⁵ And when it was day, the gouernours sent the sergeants, saying, Let those men goe. ³⁶ Then the keeper of the prison tolde these woordes vnto Paul, saying, The gouerness haue sent to loose you: nowe therefore get you hence, and goe in peace. ³⁷ Then sayde Paul vnto them, After that they haue beaten vs openly vncodemned, which are Romanes, they haue cast vs into prison, and nowe would they put vs out priuily? nay verely: but let them come and bring vs out. ³⁸ And the sergeants tolde these woordes vnto the gouernours, who feared whe they heard that they were Romanes. ³⁹ Then came they and praied them, and brought them out, and desired them to depart out of the citie.
