⁵ Then I sayd, Wo is me: for I am vndone, because I am a man of polluted lips, and I dwell in the middes of a people of polluted lips: for mine eyes haue seene the King and Lord of hostes.

¹⁷ Thine eyes shall see the King in his glory: they shall beholde the lande farre off.

⁶ Then said I, Oh, Lord God, behold, I can not speake, for I am a childe.

³ And they bende their tongues like their bowes for lyes: but they haue no courage for the trueth vpon the earth: for they proceede from euill to worse, and they haue not knowen mee, sayth the Lord. ⁴ Let euery one take heede of his neighbour, and trust you not in any brother: for euery brother will vse deceite, and euery friend will deale deceitfully, ⁵ And euery one wil deceiue his friende, and wil not speake the trueth: for they haue taught their tongues to speake lies, and take great paynes to do wickedly. ⁶ Thine habitation is in the middes of deceiuers: because of their deceit they refuse to know me, sayth the Lord. ⁷ Therefore thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Behold, I wil melt them, and trie them: for what should I els do for the daughter of my people? ⁸ Their tongue is as an arow shot out, and speaketh deceite: one speaketh peaceably to his neighbour with his mouth, but in his heart hee layeth waite for him.

⁵⁷ And I will make drunke her princes, and her wise men, her dukes, and her nobles, and her strong men: and they shall sleepe a perpetuall sleepe, and not wake, sayth the King, whose Name is the Lord of hostes.

⁶ And thou sonne of man, feare them not, neither be afraide of their wordes, although rebels, and thornes be with thee, and thou remainest with scorpions: feare not their wordes, nor be afrayde at their lookes, for they are a rebellious house. ⁷ Therefore thou shalt speake my words vnto them: but surely they will not heare, neither will they in deede cease: for they are rebellious. ⁸ But thou sonne of man, heare what I say vnto thee: be not thou rebellious, like this rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eate that I giue thee.

³¹ For they come vnto thee, as the people vseth to come: and my people sit before thee, and heare thy wordes, but they will not doe them: for with their mouthes they make iestes, and their heart goeth after their couetousnesse.

³⁴ O generations of vipers, howe can you speake good things, when ye are euill? For of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. ³⁵ A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth foorth good things: and an euill man out of an euill treasure, bringeth forth euill things. ³⁶ But I say vnto you, that of euery idle word that men shall speake, they shall giue account thereof at the day of iudgement. ³⁷ For by thy wordes thou shalt be iustified, and by thy wordes thou shalt be condemned.

⁸ Now when Simon Peter saw it, he fel down at Iesus knees, saying, Lord, go from me: for I am a sinfull man. ⁹ For he was vtterly astonied, and all that were with him, for the draught of fishes which they tooke.

⁶ And the tongue is fire, yea, a worlde of wickednesse: so is the tongue set among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature, and it is set on fire of hell. ⁷ For the whole nature of beasts, and of birds, and of creeping things, and things of the sea is tamed, and hath bene tamed of the nature of man. ⁸ But the tongue can no man tame. It is an vnruly euill, full of deadly poyson. ⁹ Therewith blesse we God euen the Father, and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. ¹⁰ Out of one mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing: my brethren, these things ought not so to be.

⁵ And from Iesus Christ, which is that faithful witnes, and that first begotten of the dead, and that Prince of the Kings of the earth, vnto him that loued vs, and washed vs from our sinnes in his blood, ⁶ And made vs Kings and Priests vnto God euen his Father, to him I say be glory, and dominion for euermore, Amen. ⁷ Beholde, he commeth with cloudes, and euery eye shall see him: yea, euen they which pearced him thorowe: and all kinreds of the earth shall waile before him, Euen so, Amen.
