⁴ The Lord God hath giuen me a tongue of the learned, that I shoulde knowe to minister a woord in time to him that is weary: he will raise me vp in the morning: in the morning hee will waken mine eare to heare, as the learned.

¹¹ Then the Lord said vnto him, Who hath giuen the mouth to man? or who hath made the domme, or the deafe, or him that seeth, or the blinde? haue not I the Lord? ¹² Therefore goe nowe, and I will be with thy mouth, and will teach thee what thou shalt say.

³ Heare my voyce in the morning, O Lord: for in the morning will I direct me vnto thee, and I will waite.

² Thou art fayrer then the children of men: grace is powred in thy lips, because God hath blessed thee for euer.

¹⁴⁷ I preuented the morning light, and cried: for I waited on thy word.

⁸ Let me heare thy louing kindenes in the morning, for in thee is my trust: shewe mee the way, that I should walke in, for I lift vp my soule vnto thee.

²³ A ioy commeth to a man by the answere of his mouth: and how good is a word in due season?

¹¹ A word spoken in his place, is like apples of golde with pictures of siluer.

¹⁵ For thus sayth he that is hie and excellent, he that inhabiteth the eternitie, whose Name is the Holy one, I dwell in the high and holy place: with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirite to reuiue the spirite of the humble, and to giue life to them that are of a contrite heart. ¹⁶ For I will not contende for euer, neither will I be alwayes wroth, for the spirite should fayle before me: and I haue made the breath. ¹⁷ For his wicked couetousnesse I am angry with him, and haue smitten him: I hid mee and was angry, yet he went away, and turned after the way of his owne heart. ¹⁸ I haue seene his wayes, and wil heale him: I wil leade him also, and restore comfort vnto him, and to those that lament him. ¹⁹ I create the fruite of the lips, to be peace: peace vnto them that are farre off, and to them that are neere, sayth the Lord: for I will heale him.

⁹ Then the Lord stretched out his hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said vnto me, Beholde, I haue put my wordes in thy mouth.

²⁸ Come vnto me, all ye that are wearie and laden, and I will ease you.

⁵⁴ And came into his owne countrey, and taught them in their Synagogue, so that they were astonied, and saide, Whence commeth this wisdome and great woorkes vnto this man?

⁴⁶ And none could answere him a worde, neither durst any from that day foorth aske him any moe questions.

²² And all bare him witnes, and wondered at the gracious wordes, which proceeded out of his mouth, and said, Is not this Iosephs sonne?

¹⁵ For I will giue you a mouth and wisdome, where against all your aduersaries shall not be able to speake, nor resist.
